I will never get caught up in the eccie drama, but I think I have to call out Porno-Dave for contacting providers here trying to capitalize on our images.

You want to photograph me and have access to my images, including my face? You see nothing inappropriate with this request? Get a life honey!

I think Dave's a pro photographer. Lots of providers put pictures with their faces on the web. There's nothing wrong with you just saying "no."

Heidi, no offense hun but ya do need to upgrade the pics a bit. If Dave knows what hes doing, its a very good offer, pro shoters earn 4k a day shooting models, im guessing thats higher than most providers here, a trade or even outright investing in a pro for images can show you are a more dedicated and true professional, and can definately increase your income and quality of clients. just my .02 cents, no offense meant in any way.

I can see your point in not wanting to hire a hobbyist for professional services, but I have never heard anything about Dave's work ethic that would question his integrity in that arena.

I would never let anyone have images of my face associated with escort services either, because I don't plan on being a hooker for the rest of my life.

Still, it is not against the rules for photographers to look for clients here, just as web designers spam mail us every damn day for the same purpose.

It's actually just as much of a risk for you as it is him, being that if you do in fact want a contract stating he can't use your images or show them around, both of your real names would have to be on that contract. I always bring my own camera when I hire a photographer.

Do you have an assortment of lenses, too? Will his lights sync up with your camera? What about the post production work?

No disrespect Heidi, but just because you decide that his offer isn't for you doesn't mean that it's unethical and needs to be posted as an alert. Someone else may be happy with it.

I learned the lesson YEARS ago to never let a hobbyist/photographer snap my pictures. Trade for P*ssy (TFP lol) is like... one of the worst ideas ever for creative services (most services really), because if the end product is lacking, there's no recourse for getting refunded. (though a while back, I had a hobbyist do my photos as a favor/not a trade... He was not a board dweller obviously (LMAO) and he did a smashing job, but knowing what I know now, I don't think I would do it again)

But anyway, my lesson learned is that if you don't put your face in pictures, for whatever reason, a hobbyist/photographer is more likely to pass the images around to his friends for "brownie points" with the other "dawgs." Not saying that this is how Dave is, but it's how MANY MANY OTHER ones are.

ALSO... on the issue of model releases. I'd never sign one for a hobbyist LOL. One, it gives someone who SHOULDN'T have your personal information access to it and it also gives the photographer OWNERSHIP of those photos. Meaning the photographer, if he felt like it, could put your unblurred face picture on a billboard if he wanted to. Just pay the extra money and have complete ownership of your own images.

It's just better/smarter to PAY a photographer who has no idea about your escort life to shoot your images. A lot of time, you can find pro photographers or pro-am photographers on the various modeling sites who will offer legitimate TFP (Time for Print), but if you offer to pay they will often release sole rights to the photos to you.

Obviously, you have a reading comprehension problem. This is EXACTLY what I said in part of my email
"I am currently offering a discount In exchange for being able to use your unaltered photos on my website which include showing your face, in which case a model release will need to be signed. If not, I may use your photos with either your face blurred or cropped out as I will retain all copy rights to the images but I will grant you a license to use the photos for your own website and/or advertising."

That means that IF you were willing to show your face and have unaltered images that I would use on my site you would get a discount. Look around and you will see many of the providers here use face pics so this is not an uncommon or "out of the park" request. Also, as a photographer, we all retain the rights to use the photos in any way we see fit if your face isn't shown. If your face is shown, a model release is needed. Regardless, you don't own the rights to the images and the photographer can do whatever he wants with them barring a written agreement to the contrary.

As for "This site is not intended for your advertisements..." - yes it is. Apparently the operators of this site have no problems with other photographers advertising here (which I plan on buying banner space at the top of the page) just as another FEMALE photographer has done. And there is no "little con" involved. I have photographed 3 escorts already and my photos appear in their websites, Eros ads and their showcases here. It's obvious you're just an idiot who doesn't understand all aspects of this business.

It's just better/smarter to PAY a photographer who has no idea about your escort life to shoot your images. At no time was trading ever mentioned. I referred her to my website which clearly lists a fee for my service. I have done trades before, but I'm trying to increase my business and income in a number of ways, one being boudoir/lingerie/nude photography and one obvious market is the escort community. There are other photographers on this board already doing this in other markets. The more money I make, the more hobbying I can do as well. Besides, even if one does trade for pussy, they can always look at the images on the camera or the computer to see if they like them or not before going any further.
