Default Outcalls and concealed carry - any other providers/hobbyists do it?

I'm a new provider in the online scene, but something I've always wanted to do is carry when I go out. I can see reasons pro and against, but I just think it'd be nice to have something extra on me "just in case."

Anyone have any experience with this? My worst fear is honestly getting busted while carrying seeing as I get an automatic felony if I recall correctly.

I am licensed to carry a concealed firearm, but I still leave it in my vehicle when I go to an appointment. I'm a hobbyist, and I want to feel somewhat safe. I leave it in the car, because I don't want the provider to think I'm trying to rob her or anything.

I always have a Seecamp 32 in my pocket. Either that or the "Fake wallet" holster for the NAA .22 mag. So yes either or goes to appointments with me.

...no I'd never have a gun at work, I think clients would not be entirely happy if they found out.

Pepper spray is a different story.

Not surprising to hear. I always hope the "triple action" part of this is true for that reason

http://www.mace.com/personal_defense...on-pocket.html

I've been fortunate enough not to need to use it in quite some time. I replace it every 1-2 years even though it says "36 month shelf life". Better safe than trying to spray mace and...well. Yeah.

Stays in the pocket so no one ever knows. And it is just habbit. I have to drive through bad sections of town all the time and when I started out my office was not in the best section of town. Hince the habbit. I never think about it unless if I fly commercial which is rarely or go to NYC. Oh and that one time they called me for jury duty....

Those of us that have a concealled weapon permit have it for a reason. I am not a bad ass nor trying to be but there are some crazy folks in this world. I do not think everyone should have a gun unless it is the nature of your business or you think there may be trouble. If you have done your homework there is no reason to carry a gun to see a provider. There can be cases such as late at night or not a very good area but please use your head. If you get busted the gun will be a problem.

I've thought about purchasing a small derringer but I wouldn't bring one to an appointment. Mace on the other hand is a different story. It stays with me at all times.

It might bother me if I had never met with a lady before and I caught a glimse of a gun, but once I know she's cool, fuck it. She has just as much right to defend herself as anybody else does. That doesn't change because of what she does for a living.

There is more going on than just the session. There is from the home to the vehicle, the drive the the meeting place, then from the parking lot to the room. Not to mention any stops inbetween for condoms, drink, whatever. And then you have to do it all again in reverse. If you DO screen correctly you are actually the safest during the session because you know more about the client/provider than everybody else you have crossed paths with along the way. There are more guns in this country than there are people. Anybody who thinks only bad guys and cops carry them watches too many movies and believes the media WAY too much. DON'T DRINK THE KOOL-AID!!! Its all scare tactics, just like y2k, just like swine flu, just like mad cow, just like global warming, just like sars virus, just like bird flu, just like the flesh eating bacteria, just like.... fuck it. Just keep freaking out everytime you see a new bullshit story on tv.

I have actually brought my weapon and spare mags with me (on my hip and holstered) to see providers. I have a TX CHL and I work personal protection. Now, these providers have already seen me several times (ATF's) and know what type of work I do and didn't mind me carrying at all (of course after asking for permission if it was fine with them). Whenever I see them in their incall, I would be wearing a T-shirt with another shirt on top of it that concealed my weapon. I would come in, take my outer shirt off and there's my weapon (either a 1911 .45 ACP compact, Sig Sauer 9mm compact, or a Glock 23) inside its holster on my right hip and a double magazine case with two mags on my left hip. Now, in the beginning, when I've met these providers for the first time, I would leave my weapon and spare magazines in the car (I had paddle holster for my weapon and magazines that I can easily don and doff).

However, any new providers seeing me for the first time, I leave it in my car as a courtesy as not to scare or alarm them. In this type of situation, I then carry a Kel-Tec 3AT that fits nicely in my pant pocket that is small and slim enough as not to be noticeable.

As far as providers packing, I don't mind it at all, providing that I have already seen them before. Also, in the past 1 1/2 years, I have only contacted and seen providers that advertised with reviews here on Eccie and practically eliminated TOFFTing from BP. I just now wait until that new provider that piqued my interest have several reviews. Most reviewed Eccie providers are cool and trustworthy; never had issue with any. That's my story and I am sticking to it.

I always believe in the 2nd Amendment and that every one has the right to defend themselves. All threats or acts of violence should be met with force on force, and a firearm or any form of self-defense tool is a great force multiplier. Hobbyist and providers, be safe out there. I'm Punisher and I approve this message.
