The last time Congress passed a budget was 1,050 days ago, way back in 2009. That's not the end of the world since the annual congressional budget resolution is a nonbinding measure that mostly sets goals for follow-up legislation like the annual appropriations bills. If there isn't a budget resolution in place, such legislation -- or bills like last month's extension of payroll tax cuts -- can still go forward.
Since Congress' budget often doesn't have much of an impact, congressional leaders sometimes cancel the debate altogether -- especially in election years, when votes on it can expose rank and file lawmakers to political risk.

Congress didn't pass either a budget resolution or a spending bill in 2009 and 2010. A last minute spending bill finally passed in April 2011 under the threat of a government shutdown. And, since then, the passage of the debt ceiling increase has made the passage of a budget resolution for the current fiscal year less pressing.
see whirlie, the Prez isnt spending taxpayer $ at all ... NO spending bills in 09 -10.

CJ thinks its ok to run a government that operates on $3 trillion in annual spending without a budget approved by the People's representative.
He is making excuses for the Democrats, who want to avoid the political reality if our crushing debt.
Scary!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hell there is such division the repub's in the house can't even agree on the same things the repub's in the Senate do.

The republicans in the house have turned in five budgets since January. All are stalled in the Senate. They have also produced over 30 jobs bills, also stalled in the Senate. If you're going to tell lies Ekim you have to better than that.

The United States hasn’t had a budget for three years, because Senate Democrats won’t pass one. Last night on Fox News, Bret Baier asked David Axelrod point-blank why the Democrats refuse to adopt a budget. It is entertaining to watch Axelrod first prevaricate–he tries to suggest it is somehow the Republicans’ fault–and then squirm.
The truthful answer would be that the Democrats don’t want voters to see that they have no plan other than to drive the country deeper into debt until the economy collapses, which the Congressional Budget Office estimates will happen in about 15 years.

Senate has passed a transportation bill with bi-partisan support, and the house can't pass it with a republican majority.

Can we see the link to this bill. Perhaps it has a poison pill in it. I have your reasoning skills (or lack thereof). If the democratic Senate passes a bill and the GOP House doesn't vote on it (or did they vote on it, you're not certain) it is bad. If a GOP House passes not one but five budgets and they are stalled in the democratic Senate then that is good. That about sums it up Ekim. What the hell does Ekim stand for?

Good. Stop the spending. The House is the people's Congress....they are the only ones who are serious about cutting spending....that is why they opposed the Senate transportaton bill.....let the Senate adopt the House transportation bill.....

look children, its really simple.
the house comes up with a wild idea aka budget, chalk full of their pet projects, SS medicare permanent tax cuts etc etc then passes it on to the senate. There no way in hell the senate will roll over and pass it uncontested.
Take the new Ryan budget proposal for instance. It wont pass and the repubs damn well know it.There are more than a few republicans in the Senate who dont like his budget any more than the Dems too.
a budget is a proposal, hell there are bills proposed in budgets than never see the light of day ... dont remember the record number of filibusters the repubs have on record when the dems had the house and the senate do you?
There are more reasons there isnt a budget than you simpletons can fathom so why not just continue slobbering on each other about moot shit that you actually know something about? like a tranny nanny?

filibusters??? Something tells me that someone had better do some research... Many years the democratic senate was filibuster proof. Things didn't pass because they couldn't get all the DEMOCRATS on board.
Oh, and your Medicare cut was courtesy of Obamacare ($500 billion).

Just because your fox channel doesn't carry the less opinionated news try to keep up.It was a bill passed three quarters majority, which means republicans were on board. The house can't garner enough republican support to pass it.Was back to my original statement. Your reasoning skills are non existant.
