I'm 99% sure that area fireworks shows have been canceled 100%. The city of Austin is not putting on the annual show, Cedar Park canceled their usually excellent show, and even privately owned Krause Springs is not hosting their annual extravaganza.
The only possible place that would put on fireworks is an irresponsible Petri dish of a venue called
Emerald Point Bar & Grill on Lake Travis. In fact, they're hosting live music all weekend, with the big bang of one-trick-pony Vanilla Ice on Friday night. (Color Me Badd must really need the money, as they're on Sat night.)
If you're going out there, get yourself tested about the middle of next week, would you please?
County parks are closed, too. I don't know any places to safely and comfortably hang out while watching fireworks over the lake, which there will definitely be from private properties on the lake.
Sigh with me, the same way my puppy sighs when we can't go for a walk for now.
