Default Dallas Weather

Any you boys there having trouble there????

I had some colleagues there that have a weekly conf. call. report they were all calling in from home because they were advised not to bother trying to make it into the office today...Irony, they were calling me a wimp a couple of weeks ago when we got our snow....

Know a couple of folks that were supposed to leave this morning for the game but weren't able to get out due to cancelled flights...

The game will go on & will be just fine. Afterall they announced weeks ago the roof would be closed regardless.

But weather like this (& the game in Indy next year & NY...err NJ...the following) begs the question about putting the game where things could be nasty....I'd be fine with San Diego, Phoenix, New Orleans & Miami having the game on a 4 year rotating basis and be done with it

I got my years wrong; it is:
'12 - Indy
'13 - NOLA
'14 - NY/NJ

Personally I don't have a problem with cold weather/nasty football...they've been playing like that for years. Everyone knows what they are getting into...no team gets an unfair advantage.

The problem I have with these snowy cities is the overall experience (days leading up to the game, travel in & out, etc.) for the people that make the trip...the game itself is fine

Bah humbug. Team with best record should have home field advantage no matter where they are located. Works for the other sports just fine. If a team like Green Bay has the best record they earned the right to play it in the cold weather they are used to.

Since when? NFL title games...AFL title games...sure! But, prior to that 1st fiasco at the SilverDome, when was this ever the norm when it comes to Super Bowls? Were the Lions the home team at that Bowl?

My team did pretty well at one (a bad weather SB)...but I still find it stupid. The final game should be someplace that it's a TREAT to visit at that time of year.

NBA/MLB/NHL = 7 game series....home field is fine

BTW, this game would be in Pitt if that was the case

Nope, went to work and they were surprised to see me. After a few minutes I went home.

And the reason the doors and roof will remain closed is so they can stuff a lot more seats into the place. All the areas that once upon a time you could stand or walk with a view have become seating areas. It is now a sea of sets.

It has never been the norm; I think it should be, I doubt many will agree. I am exercising my right to have an unpopular opinon lol

LOL...fair enough. It actually WAS the norm....just way the hell back in the day...before there was such a thing as Super Balls...Super Bowls...whatever...

My unpopular bullshit opinion...if they are going to have a meaningless...nonsense game...couldn't they at least have the decency to have it someplace warm?

Works for the Pro Bowl...

It's a bit chilly here...and icy. But it will be fine before game time.

While I also enjoy the muddy, freezing battles of yesteryear...remeber, this is all about the money. And in spite of the purists who love the game for all the manly reasons...point scoring is what brings in the viewership. And more ponts are scored on an indoor field.
