Why Is Putin Stockpiling Gold?
Interesting. I wonder what Vlad is thinking? According to the article:
As was first reported here in April of last year, according to International Monetary Fund calculations, the U.S. is on track to lose its status as the world’s biggest economy—when measured in real, purchasing-power terms—to China by 2017.
We will soon be the first people in two hundred years to live in a world not dominated by either Pax Americana or Pax Britannica. This sort of changing of the guard has never been peaceful. The declines of the Spanish, French and British empires were all accompanied by conflict. The decline of British hegemony was a leading cause of the First and Second World Wars.
Well, it appears after years of leaving the Democrats and Republicans in control, we have reached this point. I wonder how the current (or next) President will handle this.

The decline of British hegemony resulted from the wars. Spain had a good run, but, in the long run, gold was not enough.

no, he's doing that because that is what China is doing. they are attempting to supplant the dollar by making the Yuan the world reserve currency.

If Obama succedds in destroyuong America, it is highly jpossible and more than likely that we will lose our status as rthe reserve currency. It happend to Britain when the turned socialist and the pound sterling was once the benchmark. We all know it will not be the Euro because of all of the socialist nations that have dragged the Eurozone down.
Chinaa has an intersting setup going. They are now captalistic Communist. They are allowing some people to make money yet at the same time keeping their people in virtual slavery. The threat of termination, and I dont mean losing your job, is a great motivator. Many are living in much better conditions than before and have accepted the sacrafice of their freedom and liberty for their lives and a job paying much less than most industrialized nations. Meanwhile the government is enriched and can build a huge military machine.
Sorta makes you think about what is going on in America today. How long will it take for us to be enslaved to the government or has the enslavement already begun.

After America is bankrupt, and is no longer able to fund a strong military, the Russians and the Chinese will fill the vacuum. The Russians and the Chinese are pure evil. It will be an age of darkness.

Oh and the main reason why.
Gold is real money.
Silver and Platinum also.
Unlike paper promises.
