IMHO, TushHog has the right grip on the subject situation. For anybody who wishes to search public records, Harris County, TX is online. A surviving minor child's court-appointed guardian is a "fiduciary." So is a court-appointed administrator in case enough creditors believe there's enough value in estate assets to justify having one appointed. If Harris County is anything like the rest of Texas, within a matter of days or a few weeks there'll be people following filings at the courthouse for just about everybody who died in that county. Some are ghouls, some are legitimately interested. It's probably best to let them take care of their business without speculating.

Horndogs is actaully a good site. Its format does take a little time to get use too. But, they were first to show pics of girls in a verifed section(which I thought was kewl) and actaully kept upto date with software.

The database of ASPD and the "ASPD" name was of great value. Eraps who? The new name is catchy and I actually like it, but ASPD was legendary. What a shame. Re-opening the ASPD site after the legal issues roll over would be the most logical choice. If they are seeking quick revenue, once the will is settled, they may reconsider opening the site to generate revenue. I do acknowledge the privacy/family issue.

I guess what I'm trying to say (I'm wordy on a bad day) is that I hope the ASPD alternative site does well. When I read some of the viotrol spouting (on both sides) that has been referenced in this topic and others on this board, I almost fell out of my chair. But what's done is done.

People do and say stupid things while in moments of stress. They screw up and if they're lucky, they screw.

So give what "was" ASPD a break. I don't see the fine owners here minding one bit if we just sit back and wait and see what happens.

Do I like eccie.net? Oh, you bet! I like it a lot because not only am I seeing some of my old friends here but also some new faces! But my main suggestion is to not jump on the "let's bash ASPD" bandwagon. Eating crow pie isn't very tasty.

A lot of people are frustrated, sad, upset and some down right angry. It's almost like a death of an old friend. Many people are going through the "grieving" process and we don't mind allowing an outlet for that. However outright bashing of ASPD and for former staff is IMO in poor taste.

Lets all try to get through this and to the other side....quickly if at all possible. I'm ready to start focusing on the positive things that are happening in the hobby. Like ECCIE and our kickass Provider Showcase

More accurately, it's like grieving at the death of a friend who done you dirt right before s/he died; you're grieving both for the death of the friendship and the death of the friend.

Things will settle down in a bit.

This thread goes to show the good business sense of the staff and owners of this board. A discussion of this subject would likely be shut down on most other boards.

The only thing I would have like to see different about this site....is that guys can't comment on the review.

Read the fairy tale and make your decision.

All the other comments like "Nice review" or "You've been busy" are really pointless plus it would keep the negative comments away from the board.

This board fills the void....helps guys make decisions. Its gonna do just fine.
