No idea (how would I) what the particulars of your situation with this hook are.

I do know that almost 100% of the time that part of the hook is to make the paying customer believe things that are not actually true.

Usually it's either to take optimal advantage of a mentally weak customer who falls in for the love con, insuring herself a steady income until her bullshit becomes unbearably evident. We've seen this a number of times on this board, most recently with the victim who fell for the hook with the fake tits' line of bullshit.

Sometimes it's to gain legitimacy/traction with someone who will give positive reviews, increasing her business with others who may be on the fence, as sort of a makeshift loss-leader.

But maybe this hook really likes you. It's not impossible.

Again, I totally see where you're coming from. As far as regret, that's not likely to happen. I have put way too much thought into the situation, and I don't see regret in my future. Not saying I've never exercised poor judgement, but this time around, I'm pretty confident.

Paying customers recognize a unique skill set, and are interested because even though they/he fuck up everything that they/he have ever been remotely associated with, you are the one who can nurture the talent and it will inevitably realize it's full potential under your oversight.

Meanwhile, every team Cutler plays for ends up becoming a garbage fire, and everyone with a vested interest in the team from fans to ownership hated his fucking guts and wished he was never born once they smarten up and realize it's over.

The dynamic of allowing one's self to become involved in anything more than a superficial relationship with hookers is close to this. Way too close for comfort.
