I'll bet next year when they run the marathon, at least 1 out of 4 people in that last block will be security, on the lookout for strange objects.

At least one officer was injured, but not seriously, and think about this: It's a 26.2 mile course. Did you expect them to have the entire Boston PD lining the route, and to remove every trash can, mailbox, etc., and to seal every manhole cover along the way?
