Dear IB-effin'-the-dee and vkmaster
IB, your "alleged" refutations of the valid and salient points made by austxjr is merely typical of your penchant for taking "opinions" and attempting to palm them off as "fact." Your counterpunches haven't picked up any firmness is the wrist, either.
vk, ignore Glenna (aka Loving Kayla), she's made a second career out of her inability to grip coming to grips with sentences containing more than four to six words, as long as each of the words has only 5-7 letters. I'm sure you've noticed this so my comment is probably redundant. Then, there's her dissection of complex ideas. Well, actually there's not.

All right, I guess I need to both type this slowly and be more specific to some of ya out there, so you don't lose the big picture of what I'm trying to say.....
Has Al Queda been totally defeated and is no longer a potential safety issue...of course not.
But has Al Queda failed in terms of reaching and converting the mass majority of the Muslim population (for those of you having trouble staying in tune with the big picture) to their radical way of thinking.... of course they have.
Bin Laden had been reduced to being a rather pathetic, useless old man hiding out in Pak, watching porn and news show. His hoped for revolution as a result of 9/11 failed. He did not die as some great Muslim hero.
Now first off...kudos to US intelligence and military of eliminating from the face of the Earth this creep. Without question, we got our vengence.
But make no mistake about it, both the Arab and Muslim population did not support his ideals. His organization did not grow with unprecedent Arab approval, into some world wide "kill the christians or kill the Americans" movement. Yes, there continues to be spin-off Al Queda groups, which contain dangerous radicals. And most of their actions have caused far more Muslim deaths rather than Christian deaths. Does it mean we no longer need to factor Al Queda as a dangerous terrorist group...of course not.
Sadly, I agree with you, Al Queda's dark shadow reveal itself in the Lybian ambassador's death. But again, the overwhelming reaction from the Lybian people, who are Muslims, was ( with perhaps some pro-American feelings) but even more realistically against A.Q.'s violent actions. So it was not a general Muslim, "hate America" killing, but a fringe, unpopular radical small group responsibility for his tragic death. If you would do any type of research, that ambassador was extremely well thought of, in Lybia.
But the big picture view...is that the Muslim population, by a vast majority rejects Al Queda's philosophy, without question. That is what I mean, when I said Al Queda has failed...not that it no longer exists.
And JDB...just as a side humorous thought, I do think your thinking could apply to the local Chiefs fans, who after just one decent first half performance in the very first exhibtion football game, thought their local heroes were going to be a Super Bowl contender. Of course now they are 1-3, and are ready to commit the football equivalent of suicide by throwing themselves on to their swords...otherwise known as drowning in their beers, lol

Randy4Andy, do you ignorantly deny that Mohammed attacked the Byzantine Empire in the 7th century? It's a fact, he did, Randy4Andy.
Randy4Andy, do you ignorantly deny that Mohammed’s successors renewed Islam's attack against the Byzantine Empire in subsequent centuries? It's a historical fact they did, Randy4Andy.
Randy4Andy, do you ignorantly deny Islam conquered the Iberian peninsula in the 8th century and tried to conquer what is today France? It's a historical fact it did, Randy4Andy.
Randy4Andy, do you ignorantly deny Islam remained in the Iberian peninsula until the end of the 15th century? It's a historical fact it did, Randy4Andy.
Randy4Andy, do you ignorantly deny that the Islamic Ottoman Empire conquered Eastern Europe to the very gates of Vienna, Randy4Andy? It's a historical fact it did, Randy4Andy.
Randy4Andy, do you ignorantly deny that the Islamic Ottoman Empire remained in Eastern Europe until 1922, Randy4Andy? It's a historical fact it did, Randy4Andy.
Randy4Andy, do you ignorantly deny Germans joined the Nazi party because they rejected communism as fundamentally dangerous to Germany’s survival; because they rejected the communist intention to dissolve private property; because they rejected communist support of class conflict; because they rejected communist aggression against the middle class; because they rejected communist hostility to small businessmen, and because they rejected communist adherence to atheism, Randy4Andy? It's historical fact they did, Randy4Andy.
Randy4Andy, do you ignorantly deny that Hindenburg appointed Hitler as Chancellor to thwart communist domination of the German government, Randy4Andy? It's a historical fact he did, Randy4Andy.
“As Army officers saw in Hitler the man who promised to restore Germany’s military power, the industrialists came to see in him the man who would defend their interests against the threat of Communism and the claims of the trade unions . . .” (104, Bullock).

So Randy4Andy, take your erroneous, “limp-wristed opinions” and put them where the sun doesn’t shine!

I always thought it was significant that the Spanish Moors, were finally driven from Spain, the same year Columbus discovered the new world, sort of like the sun setting on Islamic greatness and rising on Judeo-Christian greatness at the same time. The Spaniards even paid for the trip.

Christian Spain's 700 year struggle against Islam goes a long way to explaining the character of Spanish conquistadors. It's hard to imagine how anybody wearing a steel morion, wool and quilted cotton clothing, covered by steel chest-plates and grieves could wander through Florida's swamps teaming with alligators the size of a mid-size car while enduring Florida's sweltering summer heat and humidity -- but they did it.

One of the main reasons Al Qaida has failed in many places in Mid East (like Iraq), is the average Arab Muslim...who I will be the first to state, is not pro-Western...does not support their warped view of jihad and indiscriminate killings of innocent Muslims or Christians.
And you are probably one of these dumb fucks that is all for "democracy"...but if it is not pro-Western democracy, then somehow it is bad or evil. Listen dipshit, if you are going to fight for democracy and freedom, then you need to pull your head out, and realize...sometimes in cases like Egypt, they are not going to elect what you perceive to be the "good guys". Sorry this is not "John Wayne-type movies" where your version of the good guys win.
And in terms of the "mob scenes" after 9/11 or the more recent "mob scenes" protesting at our embassies. Check out news outlets like Rueters or AP...these scenes are typically merely a less than a couple of thousands protestors. Are some radicals, of course. But to be so small minded to think that these represent the majority of the population is...well dumb ass.
Look at what has happen in Lybia...and the general reaction by the major population to the tragic killing of our ambassador.
I would say this to you....but your type really is a waste of time...but to the other folks out there...who have valid disagreements with some of my point of views...be realistic 1.6 billion or some arbtrary % of Muslims are not out to "kill the American". Many may disagree with us....Many may even hate us.....
But there are very valid reasons (most which are not "pro-American" but are not simply blindly kill the Westerns) why Al Qaida has been a total failure in sweeping up Arab support

Hey dumbass, you didn't answer these questions..........WE KNOW WHY YOU DIDN'T!
Why don't we hear moderate muslim voices condemning the radicals?
Why did we watch so many muslims celebrating in the streets on 9/11/01?
Why are so many radical muslim running muslim countries?
Why is World conquest in muslim doctrine?
Why is there a holocaust of Christians going on in the Middle East?
Why are the muslims so uneducated throughout the World?
Why do the muslim always get into wars when they bump into other religions throughout the world?
Why do you think muslims believe every human being should submit to their religion or die?

Thousands of Aztec enemies voluntarily accompanied Cortez to Tenochtitlan. They were more than happy to assist in the destruction of the Aztec empire. That's a fact, Ekim the Inbred.
