This war is ridiculous. Tens of millions of people have been hit by malnutrition. Tens of millions more will be hard pressed to pay for electricity and home heating. And tens of thousands have died. Russia, the Ukraine, Europe and the USA need to put on their big boy pants and put a stop to this. Europe and the USA should be arm twisting both sides to settle this instead of fighting to the last Ukrainian.

And, to stay on topic, Turkey has wisely stayed out of the conflict. Recep Erdogan may be a world class nut case when it comes to controlling inflation, but has charted a wise course for Turkey with Russia. Except perhaps for the little matter of the TB2 drone sales to Ukraine.

I have to give Trump credit for not being a neoconservative warmonger. He didn't get us into any wars, and put us on the path to extracting the USA from Afghanistan. I just read an article about how the dumb ass had Meng Wanzhou, the CFO of Huawei arrested in Canada, while Trump and Xi were in a meeting. That was a huge affront to Xi, and resulted in the imprisonment of two Canadian citizens under harsh conditions in China for several years. Yeah, maybe it made sense to blackball Huawei for security reasons. But going after Meng was senseless.

Bolton is a cunning linguist. Flynn a Benedict. That's beyond you? I could see, or saw, or even still now see Bolton writing treaties after Flynn grabs valleys and hills.

After the dumbass couldn't just buy another country, what do you think was the next best thing? Work with other tyrants to take them. Sure, dumpster doesn't have the foggiest idea about the implications of an actual land grab war. But he sure as hell would try to bullshit his way into obtaining one with the other two's help.

But you can never count on the Chinese.

All I can say (I mean should say) is Turkey is in a very strategic part of the world. Throughout history it has been playing both the East and the West.
