So I'm conceding the point. From this moment on, I swear the handle 9500 shall never pass my lips or keyboard ever again. I will leave him to those who can take insufferable memes and boring commentary.

Done and out. OK, maybe just this one last time.

The record is a bitch. Now I say "at the world's peril."

Turkey is key.

I'm just sayin'.

Ankara, in talks with Kyiv and Moscow to fully resume the agreement that it helped broker in the summer, has sounded optimistic that a solution can be found after Russia announced its suspension on Saturday.

Moscow is also concerned about its fertiliser and grain exports, "which are not on the list of sanctions but the ships that are carrying these still cannot dock," Cavusoglu said, echoing comments by Russian officials.

They say the price of Turkey is going up 73% this year. I understand that Biden is going to open the Strategic Turkey Reserve. The day before Thanksgiving, the Biden's will personally drop turkeys from helicopters around the country for the poor.

Well played, sir. Beautifully on topic. Funny as fuck. And of course it makes a great point. Political. Well played.

Europe and the USA should be arm twisting both sides to settle this instead of fighting to the last Ukrainian.

And, to stay on topic, Turkey has wisely stayed out of the conflict. Recep Erdogan may be a world class nut case when it comes to controlling inflation, but has charted a wise course for Turkey with Russia. Except perhaps for the little matter of the TB2 drone sales to Ukraine.

I have to give Trump credit for not being a neoconservative warmonger. He didn't get us into any wars, and put us on the path to extracting the USA from Afghanistan. Why he ever gave Bolton and Flynn jobs is beyond me. Bolton in particular. If Trump had given him free reign people would have died. I just read an article about how the dumb ass had Meng Wanzhou, the CFO of Huawei arrested in Canada, while Trump and Xi were in a meeting. That was a huge affront to Xi, and resulted in the imprisonment of two Canadian citizens under harsh conditions in China for several years. Yeah, maybe it made sense to blackball Huawei for security reasons. But going after Meng was senseless.

Bolton is a cunning linguist. Flynn a Benedict. That's beyond you? I could see, or saw, or even still now see Bolton writing treaties after Flynn grabs valleys and hills.

After the dumbass couldn't just buy another country, what do you think was the next best thing? Work with other tyrants to take them. Sure, dumpster doesn't have the foggiest idea about the implications of an actual land grab war. But he sure as hell would try to bullshit his way into obtaining one with the other two's help.

But you can never count on the Chinese.

All I can say (I mean should say) is Turkey is in a very strategic part of the world. Throughout history it has been playing both the East and the West.

I know you'll love this one, my friend.

Turkey picks South Korean transmission for Altay tank

Friday, Feb 3

Quote:
Mehmet Karaaslan, general manager of the company, said BMC is slated to turn over eight units a month for an initial batch of 100 units.

BMC won the multibillion-dollar Altay contract in 2018. That contract provides for a first lot of 250 tanks, life-cycle logistical support and the establishment and operation by the contractor of a tank systems technology center.

Even though Turkey is a Parliamentary Democracy, “President” Erdagon has mastered the concept of that famous Joe Stalin quote……”it’s not who votes that matters, it’s who counts the votes.”
