I picked my handle because my wife and I had totally different sex drives. She knew I loved her, I knew she loved me. I was given permission to take care of my needs as long as I was safe and didn't rub it in her face.

Yes, one can definitely genuinely love a spouse and still hobby.

Maybe the question to be considered should be, can one love their family and hobby.

There's so much more that goes into a successful marriage than just passion for a spouse. In fact, if the marriage is built on sex alone, it's likely to fail, hobby or no.
