1. I actually agree with you on the point about truth..................it is sort of the point I was trying to make. Just because a person has an opinion doesn't make it a fact or absolute etc....
2. Unfortunately, I do not believe that ALL people are given a choice to partake in prostitution (underground sex trades, kidnapping) which I think is absolutely horrible.
3. If you are not married and I am not married and you want to pay me to spend time with you.......I don't really see a damn thing wrong with that on any level and therefore I don't see a the negative ripple. I see non-married hobbyist. For the other parts where one or the other may be married..........is there negative energy surrounding those situations...............maybe ........but maybe not-maybe his SO other is okay with it all.........
Some people may not believe it is negative. Maybe they think if their SO never finds out there is no harm to anyone-is there? Maybe they do not have the same religious beliefs as I do and therefore the concept of having an open relationship being a sin or bad thing never occurs to them?
I know that I don't have all the rules of the universe figured out and I don't really think anyone else does either.
I am 100% in agreement that not all parts of what I do is without fault. I don't take pride in the fact that I may be a part of hurting another person someday-I will always try to not let that happen. But, as far as it being wrong due to a specific religion.........no I don't buy into that line of thinking at all.
I have a hard time with absolute statements anyway and if I have said it once I have said it 1000 times.......I never expect my thoughts to be perceived that I think I have the answers to anything.
I just love debates............

Oh and for those of you who may wonder or think that I would feel differently if I was the wife............
I was, I did find out, and I was hurt. My reality was that the problem with my relationship had nothing to do with the 100's of other women Confidantes or not that made themselves available to his needs.........
I realize other ladies would not feel that way.......hence why I'd feel badly if I was part of hurting another.

Ah… I understand you a little better now after reading your #1 point above and what you wrote after your point #3.
I concede to you on point #2 but in my defense, I was limiting my scope of my statement to people who are here on this site as well as others who have made a conscious choice to be in this world. I regret any confusion in not limiting the expression of my thoughts as I can see your point.
On point #3, it depends on whether you believe in the Bible or not as both fornication and prostitution is viewed as being out of bounds. I see no need to go into the details here but anyone who has a Bible can read what is written and know that I am correct. Just because one party is Ok with having sex outside of the committed relationship does not mean there are not consequences to sexual sin once you are married. There are always consequences but that reasoning would go into an area that I am sure 99.999% of the people here would not want to read nor would they necessarily be able to relate to the why for's and why not's. Funny thing about Truth, isn’t it? Kinda prickly most of the time, particularly when one is not walking in it, yet it is absolute in its statement and not relative.
LOL! If I had the rules of the Universe worked out, I would have done a trans-warp beaming of myself to the Azgaard home world to catch a ride with them so I could watch the show over at NGC 6240 a millennia ago, depending on your frame of reference of course…

By the way, I kinda like the debate as well...

We could have a very interesting discussion on point #3.........Not the appropriate place for that discussion I agree.

Haven't read all of this thread but enough to want to add my two cents.
This is a country that has turned something natural and beautiful into something to be ashamed of (if you buy into it!). This is JMO but I believe that's the reason there is sooo many sex offenders and so many types of sexual offenses. I'm talking about rape and child porn and incest and the like. Crime involving victims, not victimless. If we (this country) were not so repressed things wouldn't be acted out so sideways to the natural state.
That being said, prostitution (again JMO) is an honorable profession with a rich tradition. There were actually temple prostitutes that priests regularly availed themselves of for certain rituals! Not common knowledge in the "christian" community but if one does the research.....
Not having children, can't say for certain, but I believe that if she had clarity in her decision to provide, then I would support her. If a provider isn't willing to support their daughter in following their footsteps, maybe they need to reconsider their own reasoning for providing. If shame were involved in my actions, not sure how long I could continue the behavior without it hurting me emotionally. Now discretion is vitally important but does not involve shame. I certainly wouldn't announce my choices to family, some friends ect. in an effort to avoid hurting them. If they did find out however I wouldn't be embarrassed.
We are not "hardwired" for monogamy!

it's strange some of you are acting like just because you give your daughters a "nice life" that means they could never stoop "as low as being a provider" ....???yet you will pay your friends daughter for a bbbj but complain if its a cbj .....not matter what age the provider is they still have a father and mother out there
come on people! logic (yes this is coming from the pregnant provider who was raised right//went to college//had a nice first car) ..am in forensics and still do this
i do have a daughter and a son i hope they will be happy enough with the life i try my best to give them,i know i can not control them...you cant smoke in front of them and not expect them to want to try it...logic
