I am for a reasoned discussion about those who are already here--especially those than have been here, paying taxes, contributing to the community. It is not a simplistic problem and it doesn't have a simple answer.
I am also for a serious discussion about people like the Tohono O'ohdam, to come up with a fair set of rules for their situation.
But that seems to belong in a different thread.

Employed people pay taxes, Old-Twerp. Unemployed people burden the economy, Old-Twerp. A mandatory minimum wage is linked to higher unemployment, Old-Twerp. Open borders with illegal immigration eliminates job opportunities for American workers, Old-Twerp.

Another example of your overly simplistic arguments. Open boarders and MW are two factors that do indeed affect job opportunities. But that interaction is not as simple as you would like it to be.
But then again, as I already pointed out, JD's topic was min wage, not open boarders. So you are deflecting--again.
And--no surprise--you completely ignored the point where I agreed with you on the general position of boarders. Let's get back on track, i.e. min wage. But if you have conceded that point and want to run in fear and panic to a new topic of boarders, where DO you stand with the Tohono O'ohdam?

Lib-retard policies such as the fictional solution of raising minimum wages cost Americans jobs, Old-Twerp. The lib-retard policy of open borders and unlimited illegal immigration costs American jobs, Old-Twerp. Lib-retard policies are contributing to American unemployment, Old-Twerp.

Typical oversimplifying IB drivel. You are stuck in a one-variable illusionary world. The rest of us realize it's just a tad more complex than that.

Oh well, why should I expect you to actually read what I posted.
Lib-retard policies are contributing to American unemployment, Old-Twerp.
And while you ignore the real problem, YOUR approach dehumanizes and kills.

Myopic, illiterate IB. So sad. No shock, though.

But you're the one defending and advocating lib-retard policies that contribute to American unemployment and thus poverty, Old-Twerp.

Waco called you a devolved ape, Ekim the Inbred Chimp, and you acquiesced when you said you corrected his post and called him a Homo sapiens.

Based upon his comments on this thread that seems to be far beyond his ability.

I have an idea. Instead of demanding government determine and insure a "living wage", why not have the worker decide? If you aren't making enough money to support yourself and your family, do something else. Crazy, huh? But seriously, learn a trade, obtain a skill, go to school, start a business . . . There are still opportunities out there. Quit complaining, get off your ass, and do something about your situation.
It's simple, really.

First of all it is "ensure" not "insure". Second, it isn't simple with one job for every three job seekers now. There are a lot of people out there getting off their asses and trying to do something about their situations, but it isn't easy to pull up roots, move somewhere there are jobs without a job leaving friends and family behind. I've been meeting and talking to these people and helping them or getting help from them since 2004 when I was first laid off. Few have the advantages that I have and i recognize it so I'd like to make it a lot easier on them since even if they have a good stable job, life isn't all that easy raising a family and doing the things that most of us do to live our lives. Worrying about work, food, shelter, education and even clothing makes it a hell of a lot harder.
It isn't cheap or easy to learn a trade, obtain the right skill, go to school (I have all the advantages and recently spend $30K on school - not everybody can afford that and there are lots of predators out there selling "school" and "skills" that do nothing for people) or even start a business. Some are complaining, but mostly I see people talking about how to make it easier and better for people to get those skills, trades, education and start those businesses than it is today. Like IS tough for most, but there is no reason we can't work to make it a little less tough and unfair to many. IMHO that is part of what government is for (opportunity vs. outcome).

Please understand who you are dealing with. Hanoi COG is the same Dipshit who nominated himself to be a leading contender in the Dipshit of the Year poll that he started earlier this year. Had there not been so many Far Right Wing Dipshit's to choose from, he probably would have won.
http://www.eccie.net/showthread.php?t=946023
Once you come to grips with the fact that Hanoi COG is a pure, unadulterated Dipshit, it is very easy to understand why he says the things that he does.
Why is it easy to understand? Because he is a DIPSHIT!
