Children are the most oppressed I agree. However that is a whole other debate. a worthwhile one but different entirely since they are by nature dependent on others for survival up to a certain point. When it comes to independently able bodied people, women are still in the lead.

If we are speaking of dependent groups being oppressed my vote goes to the mentally and physically disabled.

Yes, no question. Oppressed children grow up and go in different directions. Oppressed women don't grow out of being female. The modern world doesn't approve of oppressing children, even though it is still a problem. It's a hidden problem, at least in our part of the world. Oppression of women is part of mainstream christianity and islam, and finds its way into our American Federal and (especially) State legislation. Rick Perry thinks he is the hall monitor for every vagina in Texas. So yes, I think women are still the most oppressed – locally and globally – and it's time for it to end.

Having said that, I also think women are in the lead when it comes to making bad life choices. The young hot girls love their bad boys, who mostly grow up into ordinary losers.

Just my observation. Could be very different from others.
