What's funny is, the money the government spends at his properties when he, the secret service, and other associates stay at them during his presidency dwarf that salary. It's just another one of his cons. Has his cult members convinced that he's such a great guy for donating his salary.

I think it's funny that Trump keep "donating" a salary he said he would not accept during his campaign run.
If you refuse a paycheck why would you then be able to say who gets it?
And before y'all go off on me.... I fully support our POTUS
And while I'm here.
President Nixon was the last president who managed to balance the budget.
It's a shame some of you are too young to remember what went on with him.
18 minutes of tape? Pffffftttt, that's nothing compared to what goes on nowadays.

You know what more than makes up for the salary? The millions that the government spends at HIS properties for his golf outings. The salary thing is a con to make the people think he cares.

Again, will it work for every patient - no. No drug does. But it has been shown to work for a number of people and saved their lives
If you think there are other drugs available to treat this that are better, please name them

Jinny - Ummm, that pesky thing called the constitution requires him to take the salary. So the only way he can not benefit from it is by donating it back
Compensation Provision of the Constitution for the President
US Constitution, Article II, Section 1
The President shall, at stated times, receive for his services, a compensation, which shall neither be increased nor diminished during the period for which he shall have been elected, and he shall not receive within that period any other emolument from the United States, or any of them.
This goes all the way back to George Washington who offered to serve without pay. The first Congress refused Washington’s offer to serve without pay—and in doing so, consciously set a precedent for the future. It did not want to risk that Washington’s refusal would become the norm rather than the exception. As representative John Page of Virginia put it, “the Constitution requires that he shall receive a compensation, and it is our duty to provide it.” Note that Congress did not try to evade the spirit of the Constitution by providing him a token salary. Congress voted Washington an annual salary of $25,000; the president backed down and accepted the payment.

The same millions were spent when Obama went on HIS golf outings and on HIS luxurious vacations to Hawaii, Martha's Vineyard, etc. It is a requirement and in the public's interest that the secret service must provide protection to the President

I think Clinton balanced the budget too. With help from Gingrich. As for Trump, he didn’t run for the salary. He doesn’t need it. Nor any speaking fees that Clinton/Obama received when they left office. I think it’s a great gesture that he donates his salary to the Veterans. Can he at least get credit for that? It’s our money anyways. Well, if you pay taxes it is. “You” meaning the general public.
Interesting read. I thought Washington and the Kennedy’s were worth more:

You missed the entire point and as usual you will say anything in an attempt to excuse his actions. No one is saying that the president shouldn't be properly protected. The important difference is that Obama didn't own the properties that the government was spending tens of millions at. The presidential salary is a pittance compared to what the government spends at TRUMP"S properties due to his presidency.

The economy is another one of Trump's cons.
According to slightly conservative financial news outlet Forbes:
The best three quarters of growth for Trump have been:
3Q 2017 at 3.2%
4Q 2017 at 3.5%
2Q 2018 at 3.5%
Obama’s best three quarters of growth were:
4Q 2011 at 4.7%
2Q 2014 at 5.5%
3Q 2014 at 5.0%

Nope - I didn't miss the point that you will criticize whatever the President does with whatever liberal talking points the DNC and CNN feed you.
The same millions are being spent no matter who owns the properties. In fact, it is likely much easier logistically and cheaper for the Secret Service to have to protect the President by him sticking mainly to one location he visits, Mar-a-Lago, versus planning different locations like islands like Martha Vineyards, Hawaii, etc that Obama went to.
You also ignore the fact that a number of previous Presidents would vacation on their own property - G.W.Bush at his ranch in Texas, G.H.W Bush at his family's home in Kennebunkport immediately come to mind. Alas grifters like Obama had no worthy family property to vacation at and exploited things to vacation at many different pricey locales.
