No government on any level should have any say in the procedure whatsoever. The only people decide in your healthcare should be you and your provider. That’s why we must demand #UniversalHealthcare. Not to mention prohibition is stupid and has a 100% failure rate throughout history and the unconstitutionality of the government having any say about anything to do with your person. The fourth amendment specifically cites that

Regardless of the accuracy of your claim, what does that relevant to? Nothing

I guess you're saying Margaret Sanger was right about "weeds" in the garden of life after all.
Of course, the crux of the biscuit always comes down to who's garden to weed out?

Be the change you believe in.

Why didn't you choose castration for yourself?

With that you’ve proven my point. Not only is it a minority who want a total ban, but it’s also a minority that wants the radical, unfettered access you espouse. Celebratory or not, you’re part of the problem.

Quantity of posts is up, quality rapidly went downhill.

Anti abortionists equate abortion with murder.

Then there are the cases of babies being created in situations of rape, incest, etc.
Apparently it is okay to murder them.

.... Yes - just as The Courts do.
Murder a pregnant woman and you'll face TWO counts,
as-if you killed TWO people.

... See? ... there's a bit more to this "abortion" thing
than discounting the fetus...

Too many religious hard liners in state government.

Trump wants to leave this up to the states but he republican party has been gerrymandering state government for too long to have enough moderate members to do the right thing on a national level. Take a look at what's happening in the Texas State House right now. Maybe things will change after the election but I have my doubts. I'd post a link but I would be going even more off topic.

Post World War II, the Democrats have done a much better job of gerrymandering House elections than Republicans except for 2012 to 2016. The usual suspects like MSNBC and the New York Times though turn that on its head and claim it’s the Republicans who are cheating. See the last column in the Brookings table in the link below.

Yes, we’re getting off topic. This is probably better to discuss in Eyecu2’s gerrymandering thread if you’d like to continue.

My point is not that republicans gerrymander more than democrats but rather gerrymandered districts generate more extreme representatives. When republicans do it they tend to end up with christian conservatives in office. Hence legislators who don’t want to compromise on topics like abortion.

Hey gentlemen, I don't even know why this should be an issue. If a man does not want to have a baby with the women they are having sex with, why don't they/you "take some responsibility". It's so easy in today's world to get your tubes tied and should you decide to settle down and have a family its just as easy to get untied. Kinda like tying and untying your shoe strings.

Think about it, if a woman has unprotected sex with a 100 men a year, she can have 1 possibly 2 children in that year.
If a man has unprotected sex with a 100 women a year, that could lead to 100 pregnancies with 1 possibly 2 children in each of those pregnancies.

So I'll ask again, why in the hell do men not take some responsibility in this whole fuckin debacle.

I'll tell you why politicians don't want to suggest this, they luv to SEPARATE AND DIVIDE US and "we the people" are falling into their little trap.

That's laughable, of course the Dr will say, "have an abortion baby" put more money in my pocket. Do you really think their looking out for the woman of child, nope, they're thinking about their pocketbook just like surgeons.
Example, I tore my miniscus rock climbing went to 3 knee surgeons (well that was stupid what did I think I were going to tell me) Yup they all said "you have to have surgery, no 2 ways about it.
I didn't have the surgery from any of them. I started back to sports massage therapist whom I hadn't seen since before COVID, 2 times going, he says "i believe your poplitiel muscle is tightening up which therefore is tightening the poplitiel ligament, I gave him permission to do what he thought best, he got under that muscle gave it a little tug (Whoooo mama did that hurt) I stood up, I had no more pain, still go back once a month for his torture as it still tightens up and boom I am ready to squat and rock climb without having to go through surgery and all chemicals aka drugs they would want to out into my body.

A guy with a reversed vasectomy has less than a 50% chance of getting a woman pregnant, and the procedure is nothing like tying your shoes. “Tubes tied” is a term generally used for ligation or tubectomy, not vasectomy, BTW.

Lots of men do, especially when they’re finished having kids. It’s a much less invasive procedure than for a woman to be sterilized, which involves general anesthesia or a spinal and longer recovery times.
