“Y’all have given me a lot to absorb,” says Marty Hart to Papania and Gilbough, the two detectives who’ve spent the day interviewing him.

After reading all of your posts, I have to agree with Marty.

I love this show!

I'm watching it again (yes I am obsessed with this show and have no friends Lol). I love the Rust character!! Sorry maybe that makes me crazy but I feel his ability to step far enough away from it all to see things for what they are is so authentic. His pain has desensitzed him from the emotion that clouds most other people's cognizance. He is so brutally real. A little too hardened but dammit he is genuine. Go Team Rust!!!

I agree with you and I have fallen in love with Mathew McConaughey...not in a gay way, just a true bromance.
Watched the Dallas Buyers Club last night.

He's going to win an Emmy, it's not even going to be close.

I saw this referenced somewhere else on the Interwebs. Interesting that a book from 1895 is influencing a show in 2014.
I missed this before. I'm gonna check this out later. Very cool.

Oh definitely. That interrogation scene last night with the munchausen by proxy syndrome mom. "Prison is hard on [people like her]. If you get a chance you should kill yourself". Fcuking epic!! Dead eyes and all.

Well, you were right Dude.
Didn't really appear to be a very satisfying experience for them, except for her in terms of revenge. Sex with Rust to hurt Marty is for all the wrong reasons.

Heard an interesting theory today:

Cohle already “drew” us a picture of the KILLERS. the beer can people all got the yellow Lone stars. Crowns! A bunch of yellow kings in a circle killing. Those look a lot like Shields. The yellow kings are cops gone bad. That’s why he had to go deep undercover. Trust no one shit.
That makes a weird amount of sense, if you think about it. Cohle trying to get the attention of the “company men” who were interrogating them by drawing them a picture with beer cans, warning them that there were good ole boys behind all of this.

Not saying this is the truth, but the beer cans and the horsemen.....

powerful seen, Maggie and Rus getting it on. all of the emotions of anger, frustration, getting even, and forbidden fruit building up into a giant release. too bad it didn't go on longer so they could become f-- buddies. yeah, I would have written that into the scrip.

Maggie and Russ ... the depiction of power:
Maggie came to Russ with a purpose set in mind: Be fucked by Russ for freedom of her own demons and revenge ... She seduces him in such a powerful way that I don't think I could have resisted even though I was shouting to him: "RUN" ...

The whole scene Russ tries so hard to resist ... watch his body language ... turning his head around and up while his arms are down as you can watch the stiffness in his whole spine as he didn't want to move forward ...

He finally is defeated by Maggie and he fucks her right there, from behind, standing, just sliding the panties down ... No eye contact ...

When the deed is done, in shame she grabs to her panties and slides them up ... Russ realizes what just happened and explodes in anger as he gave up to his principles and betrayed first himself, and second his friend Woody ...

Also I think the scene while Harrelson girls fight over the tiara and the oldest throw it to the tree branches is key ... I think she gets involved with the crew of the initial ritual murder ...

Lets see ...

I think Rust is gonna die in a strange twist of a happy ending. He wants to die. He just "lacks the constitution for suicide". There were a few 'welcome death/afterlife
' references last night.

Probably the personal stories of all the characters will have little, if anything, to do with the last episode. Seems they wrapped all that up last night. And very well.

LOVED Rust and Maggie's exchange at the bar. "Now get your ass outta here. You're classing up the place." (or something to that effect). Perfection. Again.

I agree Hotnurse, although I'm sure our Skinemax crew here was hoping that he would do her right on the bar...lol
I'm really curious about what's in store for the sheriff of Iberia that they kidnapped.
You know, the former asshole cop.
