it's not about that and you know it. and don't misunderstand… i'm not criticizing the job you do. i think you do a great job. i just think the board needs some different standards and that's a management issue.
sure… membership takes care of things to a certain degree with peer pressure. but that's far from perfect. i'm talking about a mechanism that effectively strips someone of their ability to make use of the board without actually getting rid of them. we've seen time and time again how ineffective that is.
the point system is good for an eventual ban but i'm talking about moderator discretion to instantly put someone in a timeout. a timeout that takes away their premium access, ability to use the search function, ability to send private messages, and the ability to post anywhere other than in the timeout section.
