Default A Typical Clueless Little Stevie Rant!

Like I said, had I wanted to conceal the source or claim it was mine, I WOULD NOT HAVE MADE IT SO OBVIOUS.

Then you have the stupidity and audacity to claim the stimulus did not head off a depression.

You know, you are really lacking some basic intelligence about economics and the world's various markets and currency systems.

You're not worth even this response so feast on this last morsel, stupid.

News flash! NO ONE CARES about your childish rants except YOU. Go play in front of a mirror!

Have you always been like this or did it just start since you started using Cartoon Network as your news source
?
Isn't it now quite obvious why I regard this obnoxious, stupid buffoon with such utter contempt? That idiotic rant is typical of Little Stevie; he's been posting B.S. like that for a long time. He virtually never offers a reasoned argument and can only deflect and insult. I posted a link (post #69) to a thread that HE started, but apparently didn't read. If he did so, he sure as hell didn't understand any of my replies. Had he read his own thread (the one to which I linked in post #69), and if he disagreed with my views, perhaps he should have tried offering something in the way of a reasoned response, either at that time or in this thread. But that would come as a bit of a shock to everyone, now, wouldn't it?

That's why I said earlier that he has quite a habit of letting his impetuousness and his obnoxiousness write checks that his brain can't cash.

This is a reasoned response? LMAO! Cap'n Kangaroo. I mentioned specifics YOU chose to deflect. Go play with your mirror.

I'm happy you seem sufficiently amused that you see fit to post a cute little emoticon. But you're once again dodging the fact that you posted nothing of substance, as I suggested that you do in post nos. 24, 42, and 44. You continue to fail to offer a reasoned response to my very simple question, and to back up your foolish claim that I posted a "mistake" in a thread on recovery from recessions. If you wish to have us believe that you've even remotely attempted to offer specifics, you must give a clear answer to that question.

Simply offering a clueless statement such as this:

...which, of course, not only fails to answer the question, but is ridiculous on its face -- and obviously does not rise to the level of being classifiable as a "reasoned response!"

I also suggested to you that if you want to learn more about this issue, you can simply go here:

http://www.eccie.net/showthread.php?t=353036&highlight

Although you started the thread, you apparently learned nothing from it. Note posts 19, 21, and 34. Get back to me with specific responses if you disagree; otherwise you would do well to hit the "mute button" again!

And no one believes the ARRA was necessary to prevent an "abysmal depression" (your words), save for a few extreme partisans, ideologues, lefty bloggers, and other flat-earthers. For one thing, all you need to do is look at the timeline. In terms of all the data we watch (industrial production, new orders, inventory drawdown/accumulation, etc., the descent had abated and the economy was stabilizing before any of the "stimulus" money was even spent.

And as I explained in the other thread, there's not a shred of evidence that fiscal stimulus plans work as claimed by their supporters. Please point to an instance in U.S. history when such an initiative has boosted the wealth of the nation, or even worked remotely as well as its supporters would have you believe.

Since the founding of our nation, we've had recessions, financial crises of various sorts, bank panics, asset bubble busts, deflations, etc. But prior to the 1930s, no one engaged in the practice of pushing through a big surge of spending in an effort to combat a recession. But the economy always recovered, generally very quickly and robustly.

History is abundandly clear on that.

Well, that's a damned sight better than being a dumb ass! Wouldn't you agree?

Say, Yssup, aren't you the clown who started mouthing off in the thread about Jack Lew's crony capitalism deeds involving SIVs, and then acknowledged that you didn't even have a clue what an SIV is? (Yes, you certainly are!) Why don't you contact Doove and Little Stevie? Maybe you can join those other two Triple Nine Society members and form a new Three Stooges act, updated for the 21st century!

Here's something for you big government fetishists and supporters of fiscal "stimulus packages" to chew on:

http://www.twincities.com/opinion/ci_19848669

"But don't we need a lot of new government spending to help us get over severe recessions?"

No!

What would Paul Krugman have said if he had been around at the time? His head would probably have exploded!

There's certainly a fair argument to be made that it's appropriate to kick in some countercyclical spending meant to mitigate the severity of a cyclical recession (but a balance sheet recession, not so much) if there is a credible path toward returning to fiscal sustainability once the recession is over. But when there isn't, you simply risk destabilizing the monetary system and thereby the economy, especially when the spending is wasteful and ineffective, and does no lasting good.

Now the big run-up in debt will serve as a dead albatross around the economy's neck for years to come, hampering prospects for a return to anything remotely approaching sustained RGDP growth in the 3.5% range.

So does mine. You're a dumbass.

All you ever post is chickenshit little jabs. What are you aspiring to be, the world's oldest 12-year-old?

No wonder you were overwhelmingly voted Dipshit of the Year!

(And most people's idea of a "10K" involves running, not posting childish jabs in an internet forum. But not yours!)

Stimulus plans are like taking aspirin when our economy has a brain tumor
growing inside it's head, treating a symptom that has no real effect on
the much bigger and more deadly underlying problem that continues to
grow.
