I honestly think that some folks believe that Eccie and other related hobby boards are a much bigger part of the hobby than they actually are.

Even in the heyday of the boards, they were still a relatively small portion of the overall hobby-- and these days, they're a ridiculously tiny drop in the sea.

That's really the only explanation of why people every few months will post these threads complaining about rates-- way back in the day, some of these threads had some minor impact. These days-- not so much.

One of the things that makes me giggle is the shock over $400/hr rates. I've always been in the lower end-- but my hobby bestie was charging $400/hr back in 2011 and getting it with nary a single complaint-- in Dallas. And still has people on this very board who will lament about how much they miss her-- and message me asking if I've heard from her lately.

You're stating the obvious: customers want a lot of work for little money, and providers want a lot of money for little work.

Obviously, if a man can get PSE for cheap, that's what he'll prefer.

And obviously, if a woman can get free money and a free meal just for existing, that's what she'll prefer.

Her point is DAB, this the reason why they charge $400 an hour because a 1 hour appointment client is going to ask a thousand questions, so therefore women want to make sure that is worth her time. The 6 hour appointment client speaks with his wallet and keep his mouth close. Less is more, you welcome lol.
