Not patting myself on the back (however) I made that call a week ago, as well.
The first (crude) Scorpion Qyburn had built was basically a prototype; (reminder: last season Bronn used it during the Dothraki horde's attack on the Lannister battalion after they'd taken down Lady Tyrell and her powder puff army. Drogon was injured but not fatally, of course).
It stood to reason many more (and more sophisticated) models would be built in anticipation of their planned assault on Kings Landing. Again, Tyrion, Greyworm, and Daeny should have all been able to reasonably anticipate that possibility. They continue to show little to no military aumen.
Their tactic of having nary one advanced scout ship leading their armada defies any strategy. One ship would have easily seen a trap had been laid and a warning shot to alert the rest of the fleet could have been executed. Their failures to consider all options make them look "out-coached".
And perhaps that's what the writers/ directors want us to think. Maybe next week they unveil an ace up their sleeve none of us saw coming.
Maybe Arya makes it into Kings Landing and assumes the identity of someone close to Cersei....close enough to kill her and end the war.
