He WON'T win because he CAN'T win. Independents, swing voters, and, well, women are bound to realize this is the SAME "Newt Gingrich" from 1998. ("Ohhh, I thought he was that OTHER 'Newt Gingrich!'") We already had experiences with this guy and it was ... complicated.

Notoriously bad boss, bad husband, bad Speaker, all around nasty unpleasant person no matter how interesting some people might find his ideas. Americans vote for a candidate that's likeable, and he is not. Clairvoyance or not, some things are just not possible.
