The anatomy of the NFL Schedule is not without it's complexities, but this much we do know: it does have a pattern shared by all 32 teams....16 regular season games spread over a 17 week period of time (between weeks 5 and 11 each team has been given one BYE week).
That said....and while I'm not necessarily picking on you., kerwil....WHY would you have just assumed there'd be no bye in the schedule for any NFL team (Houston, it would appear, in this case)? Just curious if you thought the Texans were planning to start their regular season a week later than everyone else.....or perhaps finish up a week prior to rest of the field? Or be the unfortunate team that was unfairly handed a 17 game schedule?

What's wrong with the Clown? Why aint he practicing?
Savage has looked surprisingly ok so far. He does hold the ball too long and with the OLine being subpar he will get jacked early in the season. Watson better be ready.
D looks good also with the exception of covering RB's out of the backfield. Rex give me Burkhead looked like an all pro against us. Hope most teams won't figure that out.

Two biggest issues will be the receivers who do not seem capable of getting open. The O line. These two issues will result in poor QB play no matter who it is. And the defense still seems to have a problem with backs catching passes

I didn't assume there wouldn't be a BYE week. My mind slipped and didn't think of the Sunday between Oct. 15 and Oct. 29(Oct. 22). It's corrected now. LOL!

Against the Saints the Texans looked like crap. No O line, running and passing game were not very good. Neither QB looked all that good. IMHO Kubiak's offensive schemes were light years better than this shit

26-7 Jags in the 3rd quarter....
I know it's just the first game but damn BL you're right. No offensive line, the defense isn't as potent, Savage sacked SIX times, Watson, even though he did throw a TD pass, stripped of the ball. Man this shit ain't looking good at all.
