Actually, I taught Economics at the university level for awhile, Fluffy.
Sounds like you're having a bad night. Try some Ovaltine.

May 2013 is much better than December 2008. Obama and Geitner have done good job fixing the mess that Bush and Cheney left behind. In April we added a 165,000 jobs, but of course you don't trust the Department of Labor unless it's a number that supports your position. The unemployment rate is 7.5 per cent and headed in the right direction. We would never get to this number if we followed any or your stupid ideas.

JL, they have already passed legislation to end the furloughs. So traveling at airports will be easier. I would rather be on the sequester than on the Paul Ryan Budget plan of tax cuts for the one per cent and reduced social security and health care for seniors. The sequester came about because the super committee (which had 6 democrats and 6 republicans) could not reach an agreement. Bush raised the debt ceiling 8 times, where was Grover Norquist then?

How many Americans have been lost in Chicago under democrats? or New York City? Washington DC, New Orleans, Boston, Philidelphia, Los Angeles, etc. Think of it this way, the vast majority of gun deaths in this country (which you harp about) occurred inside of democratically controlled cities. Care to explain?

From a texan, every time i see the omnipresent 'obama lied-the economy died' i want to run the fucker's car into a wall. The truth is, Bush & cheney lied & SOLDIERS DIED! This president was handed a gigantic shit sandwich purchased on credit by two rich guys who refused to serv their country & probably pay less in taxes than a field mouse. Obama aint perfect, but damn, at least he's trying, the repubs are relishing the fact that they are willing to do nothing to improve the common man's lot in life to accomplish their anti american goal of stunting this nation's progress to make this president a failure. Why else would they vote against gun 90% public approved gun gontrol measure or against Sandy relief? Why? So they can pander to their base and stay in their cush jobs on the hill. For all you repubs, when was the last time you were able to use one of the tax loopholes your favored representative in congress or the senate so dearly fight for? They pander to you with pablam like Guns, gays, family, border and then screw you like every other middle or lower class stiff.
Before I have a stroke, is there anyone else out there who finds it remarkable that the republicans are the small government/deregulation party, but its only the republicans who want to control a woman's right to choose, OR when a fertilizer plant in WEST TX blows up, crawl back to the feds to beg for disaster relief when it was douchbags like Rick perry who pushed for the deregulation that enabled the damn plant to exist as it had for almost 30 years... No one has all the answers or is perfect, but at least the dems are trying and have a handle on common sense, the repubs come accross a simply hateful - hateful of those of a different background, gender or economic class.

Why can't the common man improve his own lot in life? Is he incapable on his own? Is he overly dependent on the government? Have pride son - lift yourself up and make something of yourself before the race hustlers and welfare touts turn you into a helpless fucking baby!
