Damn, sexy chicks and guns make my dick as hard as calculus. I would love to post up my cool-ection but after this school shooting I know there are some bastards peeking that would just love to know. But I think its time to add to it before the current regime steals our right to do so.

Gun up, they are coming for them.

Not posative now, but 10 years ago or so when my primary home was there it was completely legal to carry a loaded rifle or shotgun in your vehicle but you had to announce it if you got pulled over. No permit required. But I would double check and make sure that's still the way it is now.

I used to freak my friends the fuck out when I would get pulled over and the officer would come to my window and I would tell him while handing him my license and insurance "officer I have a loaded 12 guage behind my seat". They had no clue it was completely legal and just knew I would go to jail. Back then I never got a funny look or anything from a cop when I would tell them, every time they just acted like it was no big deal. Even still got out of a few speeding tickets after the fact.

Your beloved gun culture just got 20 little angels executed in Newtown, some shot as many as 8 times. The weapon of choice was a Bushmaster semi-auto.

Before you all start with your NRA bullshit, let me difuse the most common comebacks:

1. There is no gun control in DC, Chicago, or NYC. Everybody knows that you go to a gun show on the weekend and pick up anything you want without a background check. Alexandria Virginia sells more over-the-counter assault weapons at gun shows than anywhere else in the country. Saying there is gun control in these places is like saying I can't get liquor here in Collin County.

2. Guns don't kill people, people kill people. Half right. People with guns kill people. Guns make it too easy. Coincidentally, a maniac in China attacked an elementary school with a knife on Friday. 22 children were injured but all survived.

3. The shooters mother acquired her guns for 'protection'. As I've argued here previously, owning a gun increases your odds of getting shot. This tragedy proves the point. She might be alive and 20 little angels might still be alive if guns weren't available when the shooter snapped. All of these people wouldn't be dead if the shooter went to the school with a knife or a blunt weapon.

4. Arming the schools (and offices, theaters, malls, etc.) and turning them into fortresses is not the answer. Who wants to live in a shit-hole banana-boat country like that? Besides, who thinks that a young teacher with a Glock in her purse is any match for a psycho wearing bullet-proof combat gear wielding a semi-auto Bushmaster? Even if the school had their own assault weapons on the property, it wouldn't have helped them. It all happened too fast. I know you all think you are bad-ass gangstas, but if we ignore how ridiculous that idea is for a second, do you think those 20-something teachers are as bad-ass as you are?

Since the tragedy in Newtown occurred on Friday morning, twice that number of Americans have been killed by gun violence. We lose about the same number of lives to gun violence every DAY that Canada and the UK lose every YEAR. WE are broken.

I hope you are all thinking twice about the gun-love posted here. It's kind of fucked up, don't you think?

By the way, gun controls are in place in Canada, the UK, and Australia (for example). All of these countries have at least an order of magnitude fewer gun deaths and all are in compliance with the 2nd amendment of our constitution. Our 2nd amendment doesn't preclude us from requiring strict regulation associated with our right to arms. Nor does our 2nd amendment specify that we should be able to carry concealed weapons freely in the community. These are modern corruptions of a policy designed for civil defense. How about if we keep our guns but we tell the NRA to fuck off and we ask government for some controls that make us all safer.

Oh... And how about if you gun worshipers focus more on the awesome providers here than on that gun which is obviously compensating for something you're lacking.

Lust4xxxLife, pretty strong statements but you're entitled to your opinion.

Well, here's mine:
Don't lump all of us as trigger-happy, pistol-packin' bad-asses... most of us gun owners are law-abidding, decent citizens that have professional careers, family, etc. and you'd never know a sweet girl like PistolMarks has a collection of them if you met her; unless she told you about it.

Your contention that the 2nd amendment has been corrupted with concealed weapons is based on...what? How do you know they weren't carried as concealed weapons in the 18th and 19th centuries?

I understand how you and others feel about this...strong opinions both sides. Pandora is out of the box, guns are here forever and it isn't so much about guns as it is mental health issues.

Color alerts...
WHITE: No danger, nothing bad will ever happen to me.
YELLOW: Knowing that something stupid and dangerous could happen anytime, any place.
ORANGE: A situation arises in public (people arguing at a bar, protests, road rage, etc,) that could escalate into a more serious situation.
RED: Some moron brings it and starts shooting.

Too many of us live in a WHITE condition...not preparing or even thinking the other colors could happen to them. Start thinking YELLOW...you'll be ahead of the situation before it happens.

God forbid this ever happens to you but if you're ever in a condition RED, he starts shooting and the opportunity was there to stop this person, can you honestly say you're glad you didn't have a gun to stop him? He has his barrel aimed at a 5-year old and if you had the chance, can you honestly say you wouldn't shoot him?

I'd shoot him. Honestly, I would. And I don't think that makes me a bad-ass gangsta, either.

Gun control would only take guns away from law abiding citizens... The criminals would still have guns...

For me, I will never turn in my guns!

I have to disagree with you. It is not the gun culture that executed those children and women, it was a sick, twisted, and deranged individual that executed them and with or without the guns I am pretty positive he would have found a way to destroy the lives of others before taking his own. I have lost family and friends to gun violence and I have seen lives saved because someone had a gun to protect themself. I have seen lives lost because of other weapons also (knives, cars, bare hands). What happened is a tragedy and the politicians will turn this into another reason to eliminate guns but as someone stated, that will only do damage to the law abiding citizens while the criminals will continue to purchase illegal weapons and use them. I believe in responsible gun use and I am a parent and taught my son responsible gun use and I believe in my right to protect myself and my family with whatever means of protection I have.

I understand your feelings on this issue and this is one issue that, especially now, will have emotions from both sides very high, but I don't think posting photos of the weapons we own or girls with guns, etc. on this board will cause an increase in violence. In my "other life" away from the camera I see a lot of the bad side of life and those that seek to do damage to others will find a way to do it. I am a firm believer in self preservation and knowing what the negative element of society is capable of I will now and always arm myself.

We as Americans have had these rights long before you were here, and we will still have them long after you are gone.

If you don't believe in our rights you are free to leave whenever you want. That's another one of those rights. We have. I don't think anyone will complain.

Since you are all up for taking away rights, why don't you take away your own right for free speech and STFU?

Yep, let's put it in the hands of the government. That should fix everything.

You're history seems to be a bit spotty. The purpose of the 2nd amendment was largely to protect the citizenry FROM THE GOVERNMENT! As Noah Webster (yeah, the dictionary guy) argued during the ratification debates:

"Before a standing army can rule the people must be disarmed; as they are in almost every kingdom in Europe. The supreme power in America cannot enforce unjust laws by the sword; because the whole body of the people are armed, and constitute a force superior to any band of regular troops that can be, on any pretense, raised in the United States."

How about a little Patrick "Give me liberty or give me death" Henry on the 2nd amendment:

"Guard with jealous attention the public liberty. Suspect everyone who approaches that jewel. Unfortunately, nothing will preserve it but downright force. Whenever you give up that force, you are inevitably ruined."

Oh, and this isn't just theoretical for me. My family comes from eastern Europe and after WWII, our home country became a USSR satellite state. First they seized our family guns, then they seized our family lands.

If you think that would never happen in the USA, check out our track record in dealings with Native Americans.

Love your country, respect your government, trust your gun.

Thank you. When I submitted my previous posts, i was still feeling pretty emotional about the Newtown massacre. I was accordingly offended by the glorification of 'big guns' in this thread (I still am). However, most of the responses have been restrained, and I'm grateful for that. Those of you who know my posts know that I am a data hound, and I'm going to respond to some of your responses now.

@Prolongus - best response. Like you, I think most gun owners are indeed good people. That includes my family. Even if they are misguided in their acceptance of the NRA dogma, they are good people and they are not going to use their guns for anything other than self preservation. These people are not the problem. These people would not object to the kind of process that Canadians and Australians go through to purchase and own guns. Background checks, references, etc. It should not be easier to buy a gun than it is to get a passport.

There were no concealed weapons when the 2nd amendment was drafted. The technology didn't exist. The Derringer hadn't been invented yet. In fact, when the 2nd amendment was drafted, the weapons of the common man and the military were pretty much the same. That is not true any more. We need to acknowledge that and grow up in terms of our interpretations.

Yes, in a condition red situation I would kill without hesitation with any weapon at my disposal. However, a critical point that Americans need to understand is that fewer guns = fewer condition reds = fewer deaths. The global data is everywhere now.

@Perfectly Imperfect - are you real or are you an NRA bot? Your comment is like a cut and paste from the NRA handbook without any original thought. You think Canada, England, and Australia don't have 'Mad Max' criminals? They do. However, gun controls (NOT BANS) saves a lot of lives. If you aren't a psychopath or retarded, I'm sure you won't mind some additional process so that we all know it's safe for you to keep your guns... right?

@DDBD Photography - also a good response - thank you. It is indeed "sick, twisted, and deranged individuals" that execute innocent victims every couple of weeks, but it is our gun culture that gives them the means to do so. Guns are too easy. Without guns, the kill rate would be far less. Without freely available guns, the number of episodes would be far less because the effort to acquire guns would be greater than the need to inflict harm. I'm not making this up, the data is available everywhere. Lets not ban guns, because they are useful tools, but lets put a lot more control in place. Controlling guns will not end gun violence and criminals will still get access to guns, but global data from EVERY other country says that we can save at least 4,000 lives per year. That is approximately equivalent to the number of 9/11 deaths. Isn't that worth a bit of process?

@threepeckeredbillygoat - You're a luddite. The deaths in Newtown are on non-thinking embarrassments to America like you. Well done.

@jjs321321 - I'm sorry your family was persecuted by the USSR. The sad fact, for many of the paranoid here, is that if Obama wants to make us his bitches and the military supports him, our fire sticks and our suburban Eccie warriors are not going to be a defense against his Blackhawks and drones. It's silly to fantasize about defending ourselves from ourselves. In fact, I think its a sign of shit-for-brains when people in this country say they need their guns to defend against possible government oppression. Do you think you would have been able to fend off the Soviet incursion with your concealed Glock? BTW, the USSR had a fraction of the power and technology of the current US government.

Bottom line: We need more gun control and it will save lives. It doesn't have to restrict gun ownership from those who have the mental capacity to deal with the responsibility (which is NOT all current gun owners).

Lust4life

I understand your emotions were very high when you made your origional post. I am just as disgusted as you because of what happened to those poor kids. And the the pain those parents and familys are going through is unimaginable. I with you 100% in that department.

My emotions were very high too when I read your post. Everybody reading and posting pictures in this thread, including you, knows that no normal person would do something like that. We all know it takes a sick and twisted evil mind to do something like that. These are normal people in here that like their guns. They like to talk about them with there friends, they like to show them off just like a car guy likes to show of his hot rod. 99.9% of all gun owners are good people, and them or their guns would never do something like that. It really pissed me the fuck off when you came in here lumping all of us and our "culture" with this fucking degenerate. To me it seemed like you were blaming everyone for having something to do with it and that's why I said what I did to you.

I didn't take into consideration other peoples emotions and I should have because I know how mine were at the time. Seeing you come back and explain where you were coming from at the time made me want to do the same.

The bottom line is we are on the same team because we all want this kind of evil shit to stop. We just have different ideas on how to go about it.
