His model is based on early enthusiasm during the nomination process. I know more than one Trump supporter who has gotten "blackpilled" by the handling of recent events. POTUS was playing handicapped by the MSM, fighting an uphill battle, even before the pandemic and civil unrest. Do you all remember that whole impeachment thing and "soft coup"...seems like a distant memory now, doesn't it? If people are still unemployed above 10% with no hope of those jobs returning, along with a pandemic with no cure/end in sight, I imagine socialism and marxism will look like a nice, soft blanket to enough of those swing state voters, to forget about this whole "Trump experiment".
I hope I'm wrong, though.

you'll have to explain to everyone what "black pilled" mean.
as I understand it, its a radicalized version of "red pilled". some say its not a place to be in.

I have no clue how this election will turn out. Much of the virus pandemic fight turned way too political right from the start. The get rid of police/defund police movement scares the heck out of any rational person. I think September and October will be very ugly with political attacks.

You're on the right track. Here's a slightly imperfect definition...
https://www.urbandictionary.com/defi...rm=blackpilled
Basically, it has been the conclusion come to by the people I know that Trump wasn't up to taking on the issues they voted him into office to take on. He couldn't "drain the swamp". He couldn't get Mexico to "pay for the wall". He couldn't stop Antifa and other domestic terrorist organizations. He couldn't get rid of Obamacare.

let's see if they stay "blackpilled" after they get a dose of Corn Poop Biden's debating skills and a read of the DNC's platform chock full of Bernie and his leftist horseshit. i think they'll return to the Trump flock when it's clear that Biden is Hillary 2020 and he's got a bag full of wet cats for a mind. there certainly are people who voted "Against Hillary" that now regret it given Trump is Trump and he didn't change his style as president. but i doubt any of them would go back in time and vote for Clinton, that's how "unlikeable" she is. Biden by contrast is just creepy uncle Joe, more likeable overall but given the reference point that doesn't say much.
there are Trump supporters tired of the daily leftist media blitzkrieg of "Evil Lord Trump!" bullshit and i'm sure some had become disheartened. Trump did accomplish a lot of his core agenda, he never said Mexico would "write a check" but they are most certainly paying a price over this. Trump forced Mexico to adhere to international rules about seeking sanctuary in the first country these migrations of so-called "oppressed" people can seek it in. and that's Mexico not the US. Trump got them to agree to redo NAFTA and leveraged sanctions to force Mexico to guard its southern border and since we all know Mexico doesn't want these people suddenly the flow stopped and well before this pandemic happened, it had already dried up.

Anybody that believed Mexico was going to cut a check for the wall is beyond stupid. I wanted the wall built just like all the Democrats did before Trump was elected and expected to pay for it to keep hordes of illegals from over running our borders.
I voted for Trump because he would "try" to do all those things because Hillary wouldn't even try. You can only do so much as a President and sometimes when the opposition is so intense, all you can do is be there so the other person can't do worse. That's all I ever expected from Trump, try to accomplish what you said you wanted to do and he did, and not be Hillary where he succeeded in spades.
Now if he is re-elected and can't accomplish a single goal, it will be worth electing him to keep Biden out of office.

The professor is going to be 25 for 28 after the next election. Mich and Wisconsin are going blue in November. Biden only needs one more battleground state and that will be enough to send Trump home for good.

No, he said "We are going to build a wall and Mexico will pay for it". Six months later it was "We (the USA) will build the wall and Mexico will pay us back".

"Polls" that are promoted by the biased MSM don't really do much for me. I believe when people vote with their wallets it carries more weight. You can damn well bet none of these folks are going to vote for any Second Amendment hating liberal demoncRAT. Too bad Biden's on the wrong side of this issue. He gets his gun advice from Bozo O'rourke.

We shall see who is correct. Polls may change in the next 4 months but as I said, if on election day Trump's approval rating is where it is today, and Biden leads Trump by 6-8% nationwide, Trump loses.

The Secure Fence Act of 2006
The Secure Fence Act of 2006, which was passed by a Republican Congress and signed by President George W. Bush, authorized about 700 miles of fencing along certain stretches of land between the border of the United States and Mexico.
The act also authorized the use of more vehicle barriers, checkpoints and lighting to curb illegal immigration, and the use of advanced technology such as satellites and unmanned aerial vehicles.
At the time the act was being considered, Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton and Chuck Schumer were all members of the Senate. (Schumer of New York is now the Senate minority leader.)
Obama, Clinton, Schumer and 23 other Democratic senators voted in favor of the act when it passed in the Senate by a vote of 80 to 19.
