Are you equally opposed to discrimination based on age, looks, the way someone talks, etc, etc.

Cheers. Even though we don't often agree, I can give credit where credit is due. I kind of figured this about you ever since I saw you dispute the delusional, over the top hating of Coach T.

I'm certainly opposed to discrimination based on age except in cases where age would prevent someone from safely doing the job. For example I'm ok with more stringent health checks for airline pilots over a certain age.
As far as looks, that depends on the job and the look. If the job opening is for a swimsuit model, for example, I'm ok with certain look requirements, because that's the job. Same with an actor going for a specific role. In that case, I'm even ok with hiring based on race, like if someone's playing Malcolm X it should be a black man, and if they're playing Trump they should be an orange man.
How they talk, I would say that depends on if it impedes them from doing the job properly.

So you are ok with discrimination in certain circumstances - just not the ones you are opposed to. That is ok and that is my point, discrimination occurs for a variety of reasons everyday nit just for race
What about if you have two candidates with equal resumes and ability - a 63 year old fat ugly woman and a smoking hot 28 year old woman - who do you hire?

We are getting way off topic but something that came to mind was an old clip I recently saw of The View. Don’t remember the whole cast but Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Bahar were there. The guest was Robin Quivers, Howard Sterns sidekick. The new left hates Howard and Robin with a passion. However this clip was from years back and so they treated Robin like a queen. Today if they would have her as a guest (which they wouldn’t) they would humiliate her.
What changed? There’s a lot of money in wokeness.

Other than an acting job for the role of a non black person, there's not a single job that being black would logistically prevent a person from doing.
If it were say, an office position, I'm not gonna discriminate on the basis of looks. If it were a modeling job, I'd go with the smoking hot woman, unless it was specifically for a plus size model, then I'd go with the fat woman.
But these are just nit picking distractions from the main point, that it's illegal and immoral not to hire people just because they're black.

You didn't really answer the question. Let's make it clearer - you are hiring a new receptionist for the office
you have two candidates with equal resumes and ability - a 63 year old fat ugly woman and a smoking hot 28 year old woman - who do you hire?
Same scenario but now you are hiring a new secretary for yourself
you have two candidates with equal resumes and ability - a 63 year old fat ugly woman and a smoking hot 28 year old woman - who do you hire?
As to "there's not a single job that being black would logistically prevent a person from doing" it depends on how you define logistically
Say you own a beautyshop catering to white senior citizen women. Would you go hire a 20 something back woman with an afro to be your new hairdresser? No - logistically that would not work and you know it

Huh? I listen to Howard all the time. Howard was a judge on Americas got talent, he's good friends with Jimmy Kimmel, he's a big supporter of gay and transgender rights, often has George Tekai on if his husband Brad lets him, is now friends with Rosie O'Donnell, friends with Ellen, vehemently opposes Trump and all of his cult member politicians, goes over the top with his Covid prevention measures, backed Hillary Clinton, backed Joe Biden, used to praise Rudy, but now makes fun of how ridiculous he's become. You've got it all wrong.
The right wing nuts hate Howard:

Ive answered a lot of your questions including this one, but you often refuse to answer mine. Ill make a deal, I'll give you a more detailed answer to this question if you give me a DETAILED answer to mine without deflecting, or denying the obvious:
Why do you willingly give your money to Chines Immigrants, who most likely send some of it back to our leftist enemy, the People's Republic of China?

First, your question has zero to do with this topic. Second, I have no idea what you are even talking about. So quit going off topic and trying to change the subject
1. You are hiring a new receptionist for the office and
you have two candidates with equal resumes and ability - a 63 year old fat ugly woman and a smoking hot 28 year old woman - who do you hire?
2. Same scenario but now you are hiring a new secretary for yourself

I'm talking about your visits to Chines Massage places. It's a relevant to a thread about reparations as a 63 year old ugly secretary candidate is. I've also posed the question in a bunch of your immigrant hating threads, where it's even more relevant, but you ignore it every time. If you refuse to answer it, I'm not gonna answer this far fetched fictitious question that I already answered.

First YOU changed the subject to discrimination much earlier in the thread and the OP concurred.
You obsession with Chinese massage places is off topic and irrelevant to the thread.
But we know the real reason you are trying to change the subject - you can't admit that yes, even you would discriminate in certain hiring decisions

The ongoing discrimination against black people that occurs in this country is certainly relevant to the conversation. Your obsession with fat ugly secretary candidates is off topic and irrelevant to the thread.
I'm not trying to change the subject. I've already answered your question and I'll gladly answer it in more detail, if you will answer mine. I've posed again where it's more relevant to your hate of immigrants thread, so you can answer it there if you're not afraid: https://www.eccie.net/showthread.php?t=2919228

Discrimination is discrimination - whether it is based on age, sex, looks, race or whatever else
But it's ok, we know you just don't want to admit that yes, you too would discriminate in certain situations

The Libertarian side of me tends to agree with Salty. C3 can hire whoever he want’s for whatever reason he wants. No different than the Catholic baker who should be able to bake, or not bake, a cake for whoever he wants. IMO he’s doing himself a disservice because there’s a lot of good black people out there, but in a free country it’s his choice to make.
