I think we found the fundamental difference. We are (wo)men first. The law is secondary. We make the laws. They don't make us.
If this actually was a country of laws, a presidential candidate would never have the audacity to pronounce: “I could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody and wouldn’t lose any voters, okay?”
