Consider this. At the 6 minute mark of the video, there was some brief discussion about how did SARS_Co_2 gained the ability to bind to ACE2 (protein found in cell membrane of lung cells of humans).
When the Alpha variant of SARS_CoV2 mutated into the delta variant, the virus made itself stronger and more deadly. Of all the variants of SARS_CoV2, the delta variant binds to ACE2 the most efficiently. When SARS_CoV2 mutated from the delta variant into the omnicron variant, it made itself a weaker virus. The omnicron variant is less likely to get into your lungs. All of these mutations are occurring naturally, which would support a natural evolution of the SARS_Co_V2 virus.
There is no proof or any evidence that shows that amino acid sequence of the spike protein component of the SARS_Co_V2 was played with in the lab by a human. None.
Nice try Waco, better luck next time.

Why would an engineered organism not evolve in a natural way after it's created? Does something stop it from reponding to external evolutionary pressures? Does it not mutate?
It is not the amino acid sequence of the spike that gives it the ability to bind to the ACE2 receptors. It's the cleavage site.

is there any conclusive evidence it came from a wet market just so conveniently in Wuhan? i mean ... other than that's what the WHO and fauci want you to believe? do you doubt that fauci's NIH was in fact funding gain of function research ... in Wuhan?
the virus has in fact weakened with every iteration in terms of lethality. has it become more transmissible? yes. less lethal? yes. does this show it was lab made and mutating itself out of existence? perhaps. that french virologist .. an expert .. who died recently claimed so.
there have been 7 sars viruses .. 4 became recurring. 3 died out altogether.
you and WTF are missing the point ... natural or man-made .. it originated in China.
prove me wrong.

I will on the point above. The CDC classified the Delta variant as a VOC (Variant of Concern) because it was more transmissible and caused more disease and hospitalizations than the variant it mutated from.
https://search.cdc.gov/search/index....9-nCoV&dpage=1
I never said or wrote the Sars_Co_V2 did not originate in China. I posted that it was more likely to have evolved instead of being man made.

oh and by the way .. Covid was ANNOUNCED by China in Jan 2020. as we all know they lied about that and it was either sept. 2019 or Oct 2019 when China KNEW about it.

According to this a change in the spike protein can affect the ability of SARS_Co-V2 to bind to ACE2.
The Delta Plus Variant (AY.1)
The Delta plus variant was first found in India in April, 2021
The variant has also been found in nine other countries: USA, UK, Portugal, Switzerland, Japan, Poland, Nepal, Russia and China.
The variant contains an additional mutation called K417N on the spike protein. It has been suggested that this change slightly reduces binding affinity to ACE2.
Currently, it is uncertain whether this additional mutation is causing enhanced severity, transmissibility, and immune evasion of this Delta Plus variant compared to the Delta variant.

go to bed young man. you need the sleep because daylight savings time is racist.
worry not Brandon said Covid is over.
Joe Biden says the COVID-19 pandemic is over. This is what the data tells us

Waco, I apologize that post #65 was a little more technical. It was really meant for ducbutter regarding the binding to ACE2.
Sleepy Joe's statement is a little oversimplified. I do agree that it's less of a problem now than it was in 2020 & 2021. Over 280 million people have been vaccinated in the USA. The second thing the omicron variant is a lot less deadly than the prior variants, even though it is more transmissible. You can go to the local Krogers, Walmart or the Galleria mall without wearing your mask. I would still do like you do, keep taking the zinc and vitamin D3 and get some protein in the diet.

thanks for the reminder. sincerely. just took a daily dose of multivitamins and a half dose of zinc and D3. and slugged it down with refreshing Ozarka water.
didn't even need a session for that sparking Ozarka Texas spring water. lol.
i buy it in bulk and try to drink 3-4 16 oz bottles a day.
Biden is simple .. thus his statements are .. simple. but that's the best simple joe can do.

This is the biggest nothingburger on the planet. "It's been suggested", "it it uncertain".The cleavage site is the key factor in the virus being able to bind. Don't be ridiculous.
You also failed to tell us why an engineered virus wouldn't mutate. What's the mechanism involved there. Could that be something you wish were true?

outbreak started in august 2019 and spread throughout china.
the starting point was the wuhan wet market by an infected chinese person who spread it there.
by sept 2019, authorities become aware of it.

You have insulted the scientists at the global virus network. A study by scientists at the NIH says the same thing essentially. The affinity to bind to ace2 will vary between the variants of SARS_Co_V2 based on structure of variant or sub variant. Consider this study the on the omnicron sub variants and their affinity to bind to ACE2.
From tthe link:
The currently circulating Omicron sub-variants are the SARS-CoV-2 strains with the highest number of known mutations. Herein, we found that human angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 (hACE2) binding affinity to the receptor-binding domains (RBDs) of the four early Omicron sub-variants (BA.1, BA.1.1, BA.2, and BA.3) follows the order BA.1.1 > BA.2 > BA.3 ≈ BA.1. The complex structures of hACE2 with RBDs of BA.1.1, BA.2, and BA.3 reveal that the higher hACE2 binding affinity of BA.2 than BA.1 is related to the absence of the G496S mutation in BA.2.
The symbol "G" is the amino acid Glycine. It's absence results in BA.2 having a higher affinity to bind to ACE2 than sub-variant BA.1.
https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/35809570/
As for the behavior of man made virus compared to a naturally occurring virus, I am not aware of any studies comparing the two.
