all is fair in Texas Politics... .. her point was a simple one.. Abbot sued and won millions and then championed a law limiting settlements...do as I say not as I do..
the Democrats could have a better job getting the point across...

Is there a Texas law "limiting settlements"?
The Democrats could do a better job of fielding a candidate for Governor.

Yeah, tort reform was passed in 2003 and non-economic damages were capped.
I guess you were busy working your Glory Hole at Naus.

You are claiming that Chapter 74 of the Texas Civil Practices & Remedies Code is "limiting settlements"? So you are as ignorant as TimmieTard?
Or do you just like to change the wording so you can appear to be informed?

When they start issuing them for mental incompetence you can get one.
You and BigTits need to compare notes. He shoots his mouth off like you do.
Don't you have some balls to clean ... golf balls, that is.

Indeed, there are. Many many of them. And, Abbott has championed them all because nimwits like you are too stupid to realize that when they support things like damage caps on medical malpractice lawsuits, they are fucking themselves and everybody else that ends up as a victim of medical malpractice. Quick example: let's say your three old child, or your stay at home wife, or your retired father is killed by an anesthesiologist who administers the wrong anesthesia to that family member. The most money you would likely ever be able to receive in that situation is $250,000.00. Maybe you think that's fair....I promise you if it was your loved one, you wouldn't.
In Abbott's case, he has supported limitations on claims that legally, fall into the same category as the case where he received, at least reportedly, a settlement that will eventually top $10,000,000.00.

Name (with citation) ONE Texas law "limiting settlements"?
With a reference to the specific numbered and lettered portion that does so.
Just for starters:
Chapter 74 of the Texas Civil Practices & Remedies Code doesn't ...
do any "limiting settlements" ....
Just so you won't get an erroneous impression, I opposed the Constitutional Amendment and the legislation as it related to caps on damage awards (NOT LIMITS ON SETTLEMENTS). The medical associations lied about it, right along with the lawyers who represented the carriers for the malpractice insureds, to get the amendment passed, and that paved the way for the legislation. BUT none of it limited "settlements" ....

I actually agree. These extraordinarily low caps basically screw the working man and preserve the status quo for the already wealthy incompetentes.
I support lawsuits and believe them to be effective forms of regulating/reigning in out of control practitioners and industries.
And multi-million dollar payouts to plaintiff attorneys are as bad and egregious as are capped damages.
Cap attorney fees, NOT plaintiff awards.

You stupid fuck, Prop 13, passed in 2003 by ham-handed voters like you, caps non-economic damages in medical liability suits.
The Chapter you quote was amended in 2011. A couple of years (snick) after Abbott made it rain for himself.
Again, You're Wrong! Or just a fucking liar. or BOTH!
