Well, the enrollment is voluntary for everyone, but if you don't, the gov signs you up anyway if you are eligible. But even with that, you are not required to ever file a claim, and you still have other options to pay for healthcare. The gist was to disclaim the below statement, in that just because one is old, they are sucking on the government teat. Which I still hold as factual, sucking off the government teat, is entirely a choice.
