I read somewhere, probably in a footnote somewhere, that one of the possibilities was a possible pilot suicide type of scenario.

I agree, though. I would be going nuts if I was related, or knew, anyone on that flight. Crap. I'm so empathetic to people now, I still worry and hope for everyone involved, the best.

Either way, I'm so glad that I wasn't on that plane, being the dreamer of world travel that I am (with some pretty bad recent bouts of home sickness!).

I think this has been an interesting topic to read and think about. Thanks!

How do these kinds of threads about non-hobby related issues like airplanes that disappeared over the ocean always turn into a pissing match?? Can't we all just fuck and get along?

And if not, then the ignore button IS your friend! Just saying

I'd just like to thank Jarvis for confirming via PM where that was being discussed. And for openly speculating about my medical needs a few posts above. Thank you, Jarvis.

As anyone with a personal private forum knows, the contents of a paid private forum are not to be discussed anywhere outside the personal private forum - just like any other private forum. When this occurs, the forum owner has a right to know when and where it took place. I was alerted to the contents of the OPM being shared openly with others outside of the OPM. Being the owner of the forum I had every right to know what was being shared about the contents of the OPM by others - the same way the contents of the powder room or the men's lounge are to be protected and investigated should their contents be shared outside of those forums. End of story. I am requesting clarification from admin on this since I am now being bullied and falsely accused via PM by Jarvis for trying to explain the concept behind what I just stated.

What has been confirmed is that you have access to the Men's Lounge.

How you have that access is for the admins / mods to deal with. Leave me out of it.

Well you sure did throw yourself right in the middle of falsely accusing me.

I DO NOT have access to any forums that I have NOT been invited to. HOWEVER I DO have the right to know when and where content from the OPM is being shared with others outside of the OMP. Pretty simple.

Full-blown access and a right to know about specific instances of content sharing from the OPM are two totally different things. I DO NOT HAVE ACCESS TO THE MEN'S LOUNGE. I have a right to know what if any info is shared in there about the OPM bc it is a violation of the personal private forum rules.

Nice of you to try and spin all this like that Jarvis but it simply isn't true. Thanks again.

Seriously, though. Google Location (a service I didn't knowingly agree to but found out I was registered on when my phone was stolen last year) pinpointed the exact location of my phone. If my little android could do that a year ago it was sending and receiving via gps without any direction on my part...
Not necessarily so. Your cellphone continually pings towers regardless. All Google Locate does is triangulate these pings and thus it determines your location.
No cell towers......no location.
This is reality, not a film where cell phones work in the jungle or the middle of the Indian Ocean, a really vast expanse of nothingness.

Ya I don't dig the ocean or cruise ships for that very reason. I've flown overseas a lot though - even in a big ass C5 once! Not nearly as scary as being in the middle of nowhere in the ocean though.

You are incorrect (in part). As an owner of a private forum, you have the right to have the content of that forum stay private. You do not have the right to know what (if anything) is being said about your private forum in restricted areas of this board.

If you receive information that private content from your forum has been revealed in a restricted area of the board, you should report that indiscretion to the area modtard where you thinck the indiscretion occurred (if the modtard is a member of the private forum), or contact an admintard and ask him to investigate.

You do not have the discretion to discuss content of a restricted area of the board (ML or the like) out in open forum.

Once a modtard or admintard verifies the accuracy of your concern, you can bitch at the offender in your private forum......or kick them out.......your choice.

I stand corrected. Thank you, dearhunter.

I was not seeking the info nor am I eyewitness to it. It was shared with me in private by someone I saw for the first time before spring break. I notified admin and was told they will look into it and get back with me later this evening. Looks like I got my answer sooner.

One thing I want to stress here is I have NOT had nor do i have access to any areas that I should not have access to. I don't play that way and the only reason I cared was bc it was about the content of the forum. I will address the issue in the forum as well. Its been stated on this thread that I have access to the men's forum. I do not. Some people just can't unlock their jaws once they sink their teeth in.

I had heard a few people say in passing that my forum is the reason for the drama lull in coed and I didn't know or ask where that came from since it was from different people said jokingly but yes I also did hear that from the above referenced client. Point being I made the statement based on things said in passing, not specifically bc of what was said in that session.

Again, thank you for clarifying. I would deal with the people who are sharing OPM content from with forum but I have no idea who they are since I don't have direct access to the ML. Any help on this or how to find out would be appreciated. Thanks again.

PS: I hope you all enjoyed your drama today.

PSS: so if I understand correctly, gentlemen from within my forum can freely share info from my forum as long as it is in the men's lounge and I have no right to know unless someone then risks their own membership status here by telling me about it? In other words, if this happens again, and someone tells me then they will be at risk of losing their access??? Maybe I'm missing something. Seems like a perfect catch 22.

Of course she is incorrect. It's a smokescreen.

No content from her forum was ever discussed or revealed in the ML and she knows that. It's not there. She lost that one.

What was revealed was that she had knowledge of a topic and content that was discussed in the ML. She posted about it above. She also knew what I posted in private tags above resulting in a PM from her just a few minutes after posting it.

There are only a few ways that can happen. Either someone with PA access told her, gave her their access or she already had her own access to the ML.

It's up to the admin / mods to decide what to do about it.

Again, I don't have access to the ML. I have turned down the opportunity to have access multiple times from many different people. A lot of guys try to win your favor that way and I just don't play that game. I have also been told to get access secretly numerous times by way of a second handle and it doesn't interest me whatsoever. I've always maintained if there is something I need to know in there I'm sure I'll hear about it if its that big of a deal - otherwise why do I care. I've said that since day one and dozens of people know how I feel about it. I could have been one happy camper not even knowing about this. I realize this is fun for you Jarvis but not for me.

This subject has come up in private many times over the past 18months on this board and my opinion has never changed. I thought about it for a minute when I was new but the truth is it would just be more shit to take up my mind with. As far as I'm concerned ignorance is bliss when it comes to what I don't need to know. Even some of my reviewers have asked me if I want them to send me the ROS and I declined bc I thought it was against the rules and didn't want to chance it. I know now that it isnt but at the time I wanted nothing to do with it.

I'm not who ur trying to make me out to be jarvis. And all because you can't keep your emotions in check over a disagreement on an amp thread. Real manly. I hope this isn't your finest hour.

Hope you have safe travels EW!

I was just thinking... if it was a suicide mission or taken over by terrorists.. wouldn't they want their purpose to be known? Most suicide bombers want everyone to know what they are doing, and who did it and why. I am thinking their is so much behind this story we are not supposed to know. With all the security in the world.. I have a bad feeling this is way more serious than a typical highjacking. My prayers go out to those families and all who are involved no matter what part of the country they are from. They are still human beings and lives unaccounted for.

I can vouch that ML information was disclosed on the airplane thread. For anyone that has ML access, check it out and then read through this thread. Make your own judgment call. For once I think Jarvis hit it out of the ball park.

And thank you Melanie for taking this thread back to its purpose. This just shows that there are classy women out there and we dont all have to go to the magic kingdom to play with the olumpa lumpa's to find them or was that the Chocolate factory. Beats me

Please show where I did that? Really, id love to know. I heard a few people reference the lack of drama as a joke. The most recent was the other day. By a provider! Its become a humorous observation in general. Just bc it may have been said in the mens lounge too doesn't make it a breach of privacy.
