Iran is what is called a “threshold nuclear state”. They have the capability in place but haven't started making bombs (as far as we know). They are biding their time while trying to get the sanctions lifted. Now isn't a good time to cross the threshold. What is your point anyway? Why do you keep making a big deal out of this? They are just as dangerous as a threshold nuclear state. Otherwise we wouldn't be talking to them. The tragic truth of the matter is we should not have let their program advance this far in the first place. When the day comes that we can no longer pretend it is not a huge threat to world peace and stability, it will be much harder for us to take it out.

.
No, they're not. They would be much more dangerous as an ACTUAL nuclear state, if you're going to make a distinction between the two. Why is now not a good time to 'cross the threshold'? I thought they were run by crazy theocrat thugs. What do they care about the right time? It seems like anytime they could take out Israel would be the right time, yes? As for Saudi Arabia, it's been known for quite some time that if Iran got the bomb, Pakistan would give them one, since it's been mostly Saudi money funding the Pakistani nuclear program. This is not news. And I thought Saudi Arabia was an ally? Why would them having a bomb concern you?

What is my point? My point is if they're as bloodthirsty as advertised by you and others, what the fuck is taking so long? No one has a satisfactory answer to that question. It doesn't fit the narrative you propagate.

They aren't three months away from a bomb. They are three months away from POSSIBLY having enough raw material for ONE bomb. So let's get that straight. They would then still have to produce the bomb as well as a delivery device. They are two years out at least.

I already told you. Why do make me repeat myself all the time? Are you dense or just trying to be annoying? Iran is trying to get the sanctions lifted. That makes it a distinctly inopportune time to build and test a bomb right now. Duh! And they may also be pausing to avoid provoking the Saudis into buying from Pakistan, as I mentioned twice already. Don't make me repeat myself again.

Ok, let's get something else straight. Evidently the Obama White House has wrong information posted on their website. You obviously know the facts better than they do. Could you contact your buddy Barack and make sure he corrects this embarrassing misinformation? I am sure he will appreciate your diligence and conscientiousness! Here is a bullet point from the WH website on the framework agreement:

"Iran’s breakout timeline – the time that it would take for Iran to acquire enough fissile material for one weapon – is currently assessed to be 2 to 3 months."

The more electricity they generate with nuclear power plants the more oil the U.S. can buy so you can keep filing up your mobile ghetto blaster so you can drive around town longer and attract more attention to yourself. Want-a-be.

Do yourself a favor. If you want to have a civilized conversation, be civil.

Does this look "scary" to you? 100x's?

If you were standing at ground zero you wouldn't have time to be scared.

Since we are dealing with hypotheticals, if "you were standing at ground zero," we would have one less Idiot Klan, errr Clan member to concern ourselves with.

LLIdiot, are you "scared?" (For the record, I'm not "scared" and your stupid, irrelevant pictures don't make me scared either.)

Carry on!

How is what I said and what the WH said any different? The breakout time of 2-3 months is to just get the material, not actually have the goddamn bomb itself. Which is exactly what the fuck I said.

You still haven't explained why now is not a good time to cross the threshold. You use the sanctions as your reason, but that doesn't really explain anything. Why do they need the sanctions lifted in order to carry any of this out? So that you can say the sanctions are effective?

Completely intellectually dishonest. Do I want to see that scene times 100? Of course not. On the other hand, Iran doesn't even have the capability to do it times 1 at this point. Let alone 100. You're fearmongering. Fear is an infection. It spreads like cancer amongst people.

What in the fuck does them having electricity and selling oil have to do with me driving around? You're not even making any sense. Have you had your meds?

We don't do that.
HUH? No you didn't, but either way the same logic applies.
You discerning what they are from your viewpoint does not make then think of us as the path of righteousness so how does that help when deciding how to deal with them?
The Conservative answer is always war but show me one example of how that would work. Its not like we could kick Irans ass and the rest would fall in line.
Maybe we could give them some more weapons, It worked so well the last time around.

This is typical republican hypocrisy at its finest.

The Bush-Cheney administration destabilized Iraq's regime which single-handedly gained Iran more influence in the region than any other event in recent history. I remember the time when Iraq used to be enemy number 1 to Iran. In fact, according to Saddam Hussein, the reason the possibility of Iraq possessing WMD's was left open was because he intended for his country to appear stronger against Iran.

Guess who replaced Saddam Hussein after the 2003 invasion? It was none other than Shi-ite politician Nouri Kamal Al-Maliki. Now ask yourself this: why was a Shi-te, with strong ties to Iran, hand-picked by the U.S government to lead Iraq. That seems awfully at odds with the consistent Bush-Cheney claim that Iran is the "number one state sponsor of terrorism". Why the fuck would you allow a country that is "the number one state sponsor of terrorism" to gain a foothold in one of the most volatile regions on earth by destabilizing its counterweight and enemy number 1?
The answer is who-the-fuck-knows. Republicans don't, so don't ask them.

As usual, the repubtards will push the blame on Obama and, increasingly so, also on John Kerry. But know this, back in 2003 Iran offered diplomatic negotiations to the U.S that would limit the number of centrifuges they could build in the future.
http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/...-deal-in-2003/
The offer was declined in favor of economic sanctions. The result? by the end of the Bush-Cheney administration Iran had 20 times the centrifuges it had had prior to that administration. Perfect example of how hunky-dory the results of these sanctions can be.
Obama's biggest fault is not bringing these talks to table sooner. Under his administration Iran has continued their construction of nuclear centrifuges. If only his administration had brought these talks to the table earlier we might have been able to control some of the mess we are in.

Don't pay any attention to LLIdiot or his equal, Turdy the Idiot Turdfly.

LLIdiot is scared of his own friggin' shadow. His idea of patriotism is for someone else to do the fighting and dying for him, while he sits safely at home getting wasted on his favorite elixir.

Have you ever seen my shadow? Even with your 20-20 hindsight?

It's obvious you haven't seen my OMPF. But you still make shit up.
