Interesting. Seems like many people here don't want to admit that Obamacare is really really similar to what John Chaffee introduced in 1993.

Anything in this look familiar?

Of course it does. Unless you are a mouth-breathing, drooling conservative whacko like the Professor....you are a liberal. Covers about 90% of the US population.

Obamacare private plan???? Why did all the private insurance companies endorse the plan since the beginning? Because they will have more clients required by law! They love law mandated policies. You anti healthcare people are so whacked up that you live in a bubble from reality. South Carolina insurances are not running from Obamacare. That's all hyped up lies by the conservatives. Just like Palins death panels.

My Purple Heart Plates do not allow me to park in a handicapped plate. You have to apply for that version, showing proof your are handicapped.

Obamacare had NOTHING to do with quality of our "health care system"!

The "Affordable Care Act" has to do with how one pays for the services.
http://www.hhs.gov/healthcare/rights/law/index.html.

If you are participating in "open enrollment" this fall you will see the following changes:

1. no copays for scheduled "preventive" services.
2. increased copays for scheduled "non-preventive" services
3. increased deductibles for all services
4. increased premiums.

To defray the increased costs of providing care to those ....

.................... who WISH NOT TO HAVE COVERAGE ....

insurers are:

1. reducing the scheduled "preventive" services
2. increasing the copays for non-preventive services
3. increasing premiums for their plans.

That is the primary reason the UNIONS GET EXEMPTIONS ... including Federal employees! and the Secretary of HHS has issued about 2,500 EXEMPTIONS since the bill was passed.

We have roughly 315,000,000 people in this country .. and you, with your driveling liberal friends want to fuck 285,000,000 of them for your quoted number of 30,000,000 ...

or putting it another way .. the fabricated 30 million people represent less than 10% of the population and you want to fuck 90% of the population with a fabricated 10% number.

This is YOUR NUMBER:

"the 30 million people who can't get insurance where they work. "

Here's your reality (if you have to use "Obamacare") ...

Last year you went to the lab to get a test to monitor your condition...paid copay.

Next year you won't pay the copay, but you'll have to go to PCP to get "prescription" for the lab work and pay the PCP a HIGHER COPAY on TOP OF THE HIGHER PREMIUM.

MY PCP quit doing "inhouse lab work" BECAUSE OF .. the new GUIDELINES!

As the ole saying goes: The DEVIL is in the details.

Why in the hell do you think Obaminable (and his goons Nancy and Reid) wanted the thing to kick in in 2014 ... AFTER THE 2012 election!!!!

Here's the other bullshit FACT about your drivel ...

employers are cutting hours for existing hourly employees below 30 hours a week and NOT HIRING new full time employees .... unless, of course, they have been provide an EXEMPTION by the Secretary of HHS.
The 30 million is not my number. It's the number from the CBO(Congressional Budget Office) that is their estimate for the number of people who will be going to the government exchanges to purchase health insurance. There were democrats and republicans on the committee that set the framework for the legislation. Yes, 30 million people is about 10 per cent of the USA population. Everyone needs health insurance, not just some of us. I don't know of anyone who is an immortal and does not get sick. The health insurance companies will be forced to insure people who have a high risk medical condition( like high blood sugar). So premiums and type of coverage can change. In the state of New York premiums will go down as a result of Obamacare. Here is the link www.eccie.net/showthread.php?t=791927&highli ght. If you aren't happy with the plan you get where you work, then go the government exchange and see if you can get a better deal. Congress passed Obamacare and it is now the law of the land. Deal with it. If one does not have health insurance, you can start to sign up at the government exchanges Oct 1, 2013. Your coverage will begin 1/1/2013, just don't get sick until then.

Obamacare private plan???? Why did all the private insurance companies endorse the plan since the beginning? Because they will have more clients required by law! --Ranch Dressing

Now you know that is not true or you should. Some, not all private insurance companies endorsed the plan. Aetna left California, Medical Mutual of Ohio is leaving South Carolina...where are they making a profit? The goal of Obamacare is too make it so expensive to have private insurance that it drives the private companies out of business and since you have to have insurance you HAVE to turn to government for coverage.
