Seems I had this conversation before.
I would like for God to be all puffy clouds and kittens as well,
just isn't the case. It would be so much easier if we could define God
in our own simple terms and concepts. God loves, he also hates, and shows
a rather disturbing degree of indifference at times, and that is a wholly
inadequate and narrow minded description.

Then God is NOT love, according to you. At least not as Paul describes love. Interesting.
You believe in a rather strange God.

Sure he is, just not all he is.
The main essence or (description of being) of God is Power though.
When God gets really pissed where is there to hide?
Oh but God should be above ever getting really pissed,
he said, projecting onto God what he thinks he ought
to be.
God could act like the Devil if he wanted, who is the one he would have
to answer to, that's the guy I would really like to meet.
Like the cat who proclaimed that God is dead,
better make friends with the cat that killed him.

Why would God get pissed off? Isn't that a sign of lack of self control?

I think you're kind of missing the point of my argument.
We in our limited perspective on things have certain ideas
about the way God should be, should act, should think, should do.
The old saying, the King may be a son of a bitch but he's still the King.
When I take Gods place someday there are going to be more than
a few changes made around here. First off, beer, cigars, and banana splits
are going to become the healthiest things known to man. And motorcycles,
the safest form of transportation.
Who likes the way God does things, that would be too easy.
Anyone that says they do, I would question their honesty.

Booj, I know this is an endless discussion. I don't care what anyone's belief (or lack thereof) in God is, or who their God is. It's when they use that belief to harm other people that it bothers me. The Jews are not entitled to Palestine because some "God" said so. Americans are not infidels to be killed because "Allah" says so. Christians are not the only ones going to "Heaven" because "Jesus" said so. That's all bullshit.
There are great lessons to be learned from each one of those "Gods", but one lesson is bullshit, and that is the one that "we are better" than you because of the "God" we follow.
Otherwise, I couldn't care less. Believe what you want, and be happy.

You really need to learn context, BiSex. I was talking about one's belief in God. When it comes to Liberty, then yes, I want people to think like me. Do what you want, keep what you earn, and don't harm someone else. Some people use their religion to harm others. That is offensive to me. The concept of Liberty is to NOT harm others. That is attractive to me.
It's a simple concept. No wonder you struggle with it, BiSex.

You either want people to "believe what you want, and be happy" or you don't.
You can't have it both ways, IDIOT!

To properly put things in their proper "context" (as you suggested), try this "context" on for size.
StupidOldLyingFart is a fukin' idiot!

There is an old saying, (If I didn't believe in God I would worship the
right to be Free)
There are many who have the view (Whatever works for you) then
that is the way to go.
I don't try and convert anyone really to my way of thinking, I just
studied the evidences for myself and came to the conclusion that
Christ was telling the truth about himself.
And I happen to be a person that believes there is and should be absolute truth concerning the greater purpose of our existence. Otherwise everyone
is right and no one is wrong.
In my way of thinking that would be the ultimate definition of pointlessness.
There are many worthy causes in this life, freedom, liberty, peaceful existence. but the freest person in the world will still face the grave
someday. The greater questions deserve the greatest concern IMHO.
I've always been a person that believes there is an absolute truth
to be found concerning just about any subject.
