Of course ‘fake news’ means anyone who calls him on his lies, which has to be utterly exhausting.

“[Former] President Trump was brilliantly talking about the two assassination attempts on his own life,” said Steven Cheung, Trump’s campaign communications director.

In this universe, we do not give our firing squad "targets" the ability to shoot back. In the words of G.H.W. Bush: "wouldn't be prudent". We might give them a blind fold and a smoke perhaps, but not a loaded rifle.
