I meant Trayvon's "brother." You are correct. He is no relation to Trayvon.

But the larger issue is that the whole MSM was pitched the Trayvon story by a media specialist that the Martin family hired. That's why we only saw the pic of the 12 yo Tray. The various media outlets did very little vetting of the story and just ran with what the Martin family gave them.

In all likelihood, there will be a civil case in which Zimmerman is sued by Martin's parents for monetary damages.

I doubt very much there will be a federal civil rights case. The federal case would have to prove there was racial animus. If the DA could have proved that in the FL case, then Zimmerman would already be convicted.

I think Martin's attorneys may sue NBC for doctoring news reports and the 911 tape to make Zimmerman look guilty. They may sue other media outlets.

I suspect the reason for Zimmerman's lawsuits will be to settle for a few hundred thousand dollars, almost all of which will go to the lawyers to pay their bills. They will have a lien on any recovery to pay their bills in the criminal suit, plus they will be entitled to their fees in the civil suit.

There will be virtually nothing left for Zimmerman to receive or for Martin's parents to seize.

If Zimmerman is smart, he will give an interview to a single network in return for a hefty sum of money. He will also hire a ghost writer to write a book and get a big advance on that also.

He should take all of that money, properly pay his taxes, put the rest in Swiss bank accounts and move to Peru, which is where his family is from. Stay there as long as he can and try to become a Peruvian citizen. And keep a low profile for the rest of his life.

Civil Trial?? The Martin Familly better be careful what they wish for. That would mean that all of the evidence about Travon would be allowed, showing him to be the wanna be punk thug that, despite his parents best efforts, that he had already turned in too.

Travon is what is wrong with far too many young men, regardless of their ethnic background. I believe his ultimate goal that night was to do a "beat down" on a old white cracker, take pictures, and increase his "street cred" among his peers. If he had succeeded, in a few years, he would simply be joining many of his brethren in a State Prison when his "gangsta ways" finally came to fruition.

I wish there was some way Zimmerman could hold accountable all of the race baiters, poverty pimps, polititians, and news outlets that forced this trial. Not with facts, but with innuendo, half truths, and out right lies about what really happened that eavening.

Potentially. Age alone is not an indicator of innocence. Same holds true for Trayvon Martin. Check the ages of the "kids" pulling the triggers in Chicago. Some 6% to 15% of Chicago's murderers are 16 or younger. 60% of Chicago's murderers are aged 17 to 25.

You think they will spring him in less than 20? He got sentenced to 28. I don't see them letting him out too much before the end of that time.

Who knows, I guess. I know he still had women writing him love notes when he was in jail and he is going to marry one that is pregnant with his child.
