When HX (Humaniplex) was born out of Troothsayerz, no one could foresee its evolution, but it was a promising & exciting new frontier with unparalleled features & freedoms....
As it evolved, there was a significant loss of both features (like Sandboxes) & freedom (tightening of TOS).
Simultaneously, the ratings system lost ALL integrity switching over to a process of answering adolescent questions that factor into some sophisticated complex algorithm which produces Level numbers that dont make sense & no one understands.... My math teacher used to say, "show your work" or "justify your answer" to see whether I was cheating or using a universally approved method... HX started off "showing their work", now they hide it, which renders all results suspect.
For guys it's like running for a fraternity, hazing & all. If you want to be a member you have to abide by a strict set of written rules. For any measure of standing you must adhere to the upperclassmen kissing their asses all the way.
For girls it's little better than a stable with LACG (Lachineseguy) as the manager and Fubar as his lieutenant. This is EXACTLY the kind of control independent ladies seek to avoid.
Some features that promised benefit (like freedom of speech in blogging) produced 'cons' vastly outweighing 'pros' in counter-productive fashion resulting in TOTAL FAIL.
Time has shown that HX definitely gave some people too much power, & many people too much free speech.

https://www.trustedfling.com the first thing I've seen as a promising & exciting new frontier since HX's inception. It seems like TF took everything that worked & enhanced it in a user-friendly way, while eliminating the things that didn't prove to work or were problematic in the least.
TF isn't perfected yet & I hope it's a still-developing work in progress as there are a couple of things I would critique. But even at its current stage I find it a more attractive & functional alternative that's trimmed the fat and absent of fraternity politics or stable control.
Time will tell, it always does........
