What it's really all about! $$$$
Alabama offers Nick Saban a new deal
With Texas coach Mack Brown reportedly expected to resign by the end of the week, speculation is running rampant surrounding Saban and the Longhorns. Saban received an extension and a raise in March, saying it was a statement about his commitment to Alabama. But with rumors swirling around Saban and Texas, Alabama had to cover its bases....
Saban and Alabama are just fine, but if Texas really does come calling, expect a ton of money to be pushed Saban's way. Nobody in Tuscaloosa will feel at ease until his new contract is signed or Texas goes in a different direction, so this should be a fun holiday season in both Tuscaloosa and Austin.

Oh, Saban tossed the UT thing out as a negotiating ploy. Why would he go backwards for a few bucks. He has more than he needs. He has nothing to prove on the college level. Maybe the pros. But pros aren't intimidated by him. He'll stay put. UT will go elsewhere. Maybe Rickey Williams. Perfect.

Ya know Ziffle, Rickey was a joke. He's coaching High School football now. But, he still might be better than Mack Brown. Jeez your thick in the head.

who is Ziffle, Bambino?
Who is Rickey?
why don't you ever answer the questions, Bambino?
Why do you insist on dragging your infantile patter from the political forum here?
Didn't you get the memo, poohBah?

Who they going to get? I think Longhorn fans are a little delusional. It's not a great job. But the money will be good. 3rd best program in Texas. They're lucky they don't play A&M anymore.h

I'm using the Nick Foles historical perspective. If it works for him.......lol. But UT is something like 30/20 over the last 4 yrs. Baylor and A&M clearly are stronger programs now. Hell, T Tech is on par with UT now. While UT has the second most wins in NCAA history, they only have 4 NC's. And Nixon handed the 70 NC over an undefeated PSU. So here's more perspective, Bama has 15 NC's. Saban used UT's money to get a better deal at Bama. Did you know Pitt has 9 NC's? Yes, UT has tradition and cache, but it's taken a hit lately. Brown seemed like a good man but the program has slipped. I think they only have one recruiting commitment so far. That's not good. Id be suprised if they get a high powered coach. Time will tell. I'll make this prediction, Bill OBrien will be the Texans next HC.
