So a person cannot have an opinion that differs from somebody else. Some people believe that homosexuality is wrong, some believe that it is perfectly normal.. To believe it is wrong does not make the person any less of a person than the one that believes it is normal.

This is little more than extortion. I am sure the organization will want a donation to go away and let it be or they continue to protest and make life tough. Meanwhile Duck Dynasty gets ore free publicity. They, the producers, will be able to take that show to any number of cable networks or with their coin start one of their own. Either way it is a win win for DD and a huge loss for A&E.

I have always been a very vocal supporter of gay rights and will always support fair and equal treatment for gays under the law. But when crap like this happens, it just boils my blood. This isn't fair and equal treatment, this is special treatment, and political correctness bullying.

When gays confuse "acceptance" for gay rights, they've gone overboard and crossed a line. Guess what? There will always be homophobes, there will always be racists, and there will always be bigots. Homosexuality will never be accepted by 100% of the population, and it doesn't have to be.

I've known that I was bisexual since I had a crush on my best friend when I was 6 years old. Of course, I didn't know what 'bisexual' was yet, but I knew that every time she smiled, I wanted to kiss her. And by the time I was 16 and had my first girl on girl experience, I knew without a doubt that I was bisexual. The thing is, I don't give a shit who accepts my lifestyle and who doesn't. The only priority should be equal rights, not gathering up the bigots and forcing them to sing Kum Bah Yah.

By the way, nothing in Phil's comments makes me think he is a bigot either. Somehow being a Christian, and believing in EVERYTHING the Bible teaches - including that homosexuality is a sin - has somehow come to be defined as bigotry. Its not. Its what many Christians believe, and they are just as entitled to their beliefs as I am to mine.

Unfortunately, I've never watched Duck Dynasty and have no intention to. So boycotting A&E is kind of pointless for me since I never watch their channel anyways.

You are assuming that all gays are bound by what the Bible says. Not all of us actually believe that the Bible is the word of God. Not all of us even believe in God. Not all of us believe that Jesus was the divine Son of God, and crucified for our sins.

So when the Bible says that the wages of sin are death, it has zero impact on me. When the Bible says that when man lieth with man, it is an abomination, it has zero impact on me. When the Bible says go and sin no more, it has no impact on me.
