PS I usually like you ExNYer, but I'm wondering if your account wasn't hijacked by an idiot. No offense. The Jews have given 90% of their original land "to keep the peace" INCLUDING Gaza. Why is it that that little tiny strip of land they still have is such a big deal to everyone in the world. (yes I do know the answer) I'd fight for Israel to the death. They will never give up that last patch of land. Not ever. There's more involved than petty cash. Palestine isn't even a real country. It's a bunch of people that moved out of their countries into Israel and now their original countries won't have them back. I thought you big talkers actually went to college.

"The Jews?" Gave more than that just to survive. And it really wasn't about Israel, you silly slunt. Nor Palestinians.
"The Jews" and the Israeli Knesset aren't one in the same. And I know you account wasn't hacked by an idiot. It's ever been populated by one.
SFG!

This makes rather depressing reading.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of...80%93June_2013
In some parts of the world, these 'incidents' are 'normal'.
We all know current problems in some parts of the world. But it would be naïve to say it is geographic or restricted to certain ethic/religious groups.
Look back at the 70's In the same Wikipedia info, and you will see south America, IRA, ETA, etc. etc. etc.

You need to go back and re-read ALL the posts. I never said that Israel should give up and quit. It was a hypothetical in response to what Jewish Lawyer wrote.
He basically wanted to buy out the Palestinians for $100 Billion and - for God only knows what reason - he wanted the US to pay the money.
I wanted to know why we should pay. Alternatively, if all it takes is money, why shouldn't the Israelis move? It would be cheaper.
Worst yet, it appears that JL wants to carve out a piece of the US to start a new Israel. I hope he was joking.
I'm trying to find out what is going through the mind of JL. I'm not actually in favor of doing any of those things. I don't think they are possible in any event.

The only reason for starting Israel in the Palestinian Mandate was because that is where the ancient Israel was. There is no basis for creating a new one elsewhere, like Florida or somewhere in Europe or South America.
If Israel fails in Palestine and the Jews move out, then they integrate into other nations. They don't start another new nation in somebody else's country.
There are LOTS of ethnic groups in this world that don't have their own country. Just ask a Kurd.

Those other ethnic groups haven't won a third of all the Nobel Prizes, have they?
We need our ancient lands, we can't afford to buy them out, the United States can, and it will be cheaper for the US in the long run. Plus, once we had the whole of Israel to ourselves without the Palestinians to support (think welfare queens in the US) of other Arabs to fight with then the innovations and contributions of our people to the world would be stupendous.
Even if it cost a trillion - just tack it onto the debt!

With all due respect, the OP's statement is complete bullshit. You can pontificate from on high all you like Miss but you can not change reality. Yes Virginia, there really is an "us" and a "them", always has been, always will be. It's the name of the game that is survival and evolution.
All of your high minded ideals wouldn't do much for you if a group of fundamentalist muslims caught you knowing what you do for a living.
"We" didn't lay the base for anything, "we" didn't create a mythology based on conquest, brutality and the debasement of human life. "They" did.

ExNYer fair enough. I admit I've not read them all. Yussup I would appreciate someone explaining the "Jews two groups" I've never seen anything until lately that seperates them into these two groups. No one can tell me anything except there are Zionist and orthodox. In all seriousness please explain your point of view.
Btw this weekend I actually had to side with democrats over the weirdo right wing. It was incredibly difficult but the wackos on the Right are getting way out there at times. It's the first time EVER I have EVER sided with democrats. I learned the lines are actually more blurred than I thought. I also learned (thank God) I side with what I BELIEVE not just a title.

It can be complicated depending on who you are talking to about the subject.

Very true. The bombers didn't originate anything, totally unoriginal.
They just bought into the bullshit like so many others.
The world is full of bad ideas and people acting on them.

You're actually serious? How about these answers.

We need our ancient lands (WHY?), we can't afford to buy them out (YES, YOU CAN - BORROW IT IF YOU DON"T HAVE IT. YOU'LL FIGURE OUT THE FINANCING - YOU'VE GOT ALL THOSE NOBEL PRIZE WINNERS, REMEMBER?), the United States can (NO WE CAN'T - WE HAVE 15 TRILLION IN DEBT ALREADY AND RISING), and it will be cheaper for the US in the long run (NO - CHEAPER IN THE LONG RUN IS TO CUT OFF ALL MONEY TO ISRAEL, EGYPT, AND THE PALESTINIANS. LET ALL PARTIES FIGHT ON THEIR OWN DIME.). Plus, once we had the whole of Israel to ourselves without the Palestinians to support (think welfare queens in the US) of other Arabs to fight with then the innovations and contributions of our people to the world would be stupendous (The welfare queens in Israel aren't the native Arabs. It is the Haredim).

Really? Just tack it on to the debt? Why doesn't israel tack it on to its own debt? Do you any idea how infuriating it would be to the average American to have somebody else's bills dumped in our lap for future generations to pay off? You really DO put Israel above your own country, don't you?
We support Israel because it serves our interests. We don't owe them special benefits that we would not extend to anyone else. We are not joined at the hip to Israel in a suicide pact.
If it turns out that israel picked a bad place to start a country, then ultimately they have to figure out how to deal with that problem themselves.
It is one thing to help an ally during an actual war (e.g., Yom Kippur). It is quite another thing to underwrite the defense costs of another country for generation after generation.
That has to stop. At some point, Israel has to figure out how to pay for its own defense or just make peace on the Arab's terms.
It can't go on forever using OUR checkbook.

I guess I'm gonna have to go back and reread all these posts in this thread to find out what would be "bought" from the Palestinians for this $100 billion. Can somebody give me a shopping list or something?

JewishLawyer thinks the Palestinians will leave their homes and give up all claims on israeli territory if they are paid $100 Billion.
Of course, he thinks that the US should pay the money, because Israel doesn't have it.
No, I don't think he was joking.

Zabrina, you are an extraordinarily gorgeous woman externally, but if what you posted are your true sentiments then you are far from gorgeous within.
Loading pressure cookers with ball bearings and nails with a bomb to slaughter innocent bystanders at a sporting event (including women and children) PURPOSEFULLY, then slaughtering a police officer in an ambush, and then trying to slaughter more with more bombs and driving at them with a stolen vehicle... is no "accident."
While screwing you I would be concerned about when you were going to have an "accident" yourself. It would be difficult to focus on sex.

Yes, I really do. But I do live here and it breaks my heart what a mess it is compared to the wonderful country that defeated Germany in WW II. But it also makes sense for the United States. My people have a death like grip on US politics (AIPAC) and the US will keep paying the bills. In the long run, it would be cheaper for you and your grand kids if you help us move those people out of our ancient lands.
