I have Hooker headers on my Chevelle, never heard them bitch about their name.
They actually have a cute logo with a heart, and I’ve never heard anyone take offense.

"Hooker" is a little like "wiseguy", to refer to Mafia types. Used behind a person's back, the word can indicate respect for a person's street smarts and charisma. I wouldn't call someone a hooker or a wiseguy to his or her face though. The analogy kind of breaks down in that wiseguys are bad people. Hookers on the other hand are good for society. A lot of men live happier, more fulfilled lives, and there's less violence in society, particularly towards women, because of them. When prostitution became legal for a time in Rhode Island, rapes and STD's fell markedly.

For all those who do not think it is offensive you can go to the Austin boards and get your fix/fill of it. Hooker/Prostitute is the favorite words on that board. LOL
To me it is like the N word. If you use that word all the time yourself then you do not care. And you yourself picks and chooses who can say it and it be ok and who can not. IE: Rappers in a song ..OK! KKK in a speech: Not OK!
IE: Lady to Lady, That hooker should not wear that color it washes her out. OK!

I Personally do not like to be addressed in that manner and also do not hang around people who talk like that for long periods of time.
