I'll suggest that So Cal is more expensive no doubt about it but 2x? I doubt it; particularly if we are talking about a modest apartment in both places. One of the biggest (if not the biggest) differences in cost of living is real estate. IF you not are talking about buying a house that someone in AA's tax bracket could afford that gap shrinks dramatically. Not to mention the rental market is very renter friendly right now.

Similarly those online cost of living indexes or "calculators" are no more than "directionally helpful" -- there accuacry varies widely depending on individual cirsumstances

It depends on were you live at. California and Texas are both good size states with economies larger than some countries. I'll give a good example Livermore CA 300K wouldn't get you squat when I was there. 25 miles over the hills to Tracy CA and you could find a 1100 or so square foot home Travel to Modesto 26 miles further and you could start finding 1600 size homes in ok neighbourhoods if you were willing to seriously slum it then yea you could find a good size home Travel to stockton or some place and hit the outskirts and you could find an ok home neighbourhood liveable. My parents bought their home in patterson CA about 40 miles south of Tracy off the free way. Good neighbourhood and decent size 2500sqft home 200+K

We moved to Sugar Land in 2000 my parents bought a 2500 ft home this time 120K I bought a my home for 99K

Don't forget we also got a 30% increase in pay coming here doing the same sort of work. We also don't pay state income tax in Texas. Gas / Food and so on all cost less.

So yea you can knock a lot of that difference off by buying a house or renting but it depends a hell of a lot on were you want to live and what type of neighbourhood you are willing to live in.

As for being an Escort in CA it may be ideal. CA is certainly more liberal. Liberals for the most part are far more willing to spend money even if they can't afford it. Yea, I know cheap political shot couldn't help it hehe.

As for my thoughts on what a woman's worth. You can't put a price on what a person is worth the time and value of service you can. So in no way what I would offer in money to spend time with a woman reflects what I think she is worth.

California is very expensive place to live if you want a plush lifestyle. I chose my home to be Vegas because of the real estate prices. I am able to buy a home before this year is over in a gated community for a very good price, for the same amount in California I would live in the "hood" in inglewood or compton lol.

I'm from Cali...and have family that lives there. And, I will tell you for a fact...that living in CA is outrageous when you take into consideration the entire cost of living. Even in the smaller communities of CA...it's still expensive no matter how you look at it.

Angelina...I believe you'll do well no matter what you decide...and best of luck to you in beautiful sunny SoCal...I'm so jealous! (lol) Kisses!

the only thing is I remember a thread on ASP*, where one of the guys, brought direct info that Cali girls, look to charge more than Texas girls, but actually have back line sites, if you know where to look, where the rates are similar.

Now I'm not saying, it's not alot of Top dollar girls in Cali, but the same is here in Texas, if you apply yourself correct. I promise and they will pay whatever your rates is. Don't let a few clients control the price you set or the cap that can be made.

Another thing, I know of very upscale providers that was like you, went to Cali on the regular and made a ton. Then all of a sudden the clients found the next hot thing (with the constant additions in Cali) and there went the ton, it turned to pennies. *shaking my head*

I am now doing away with my hourly services in Texas because I was spoiled in Los Angeles.

Hi Angelina - this is an interesting topic being that I am a native of Los Angeles. I lived in Miami over 9 years (another pricey city) and moved to Tampa 2 years ago. L.A. definately sports some beautiful women.

I know L.A. like the back of my hand and miss it, quite frankly. Each and every city in this world has its own unique flavor.The same applies to subcities. What you might pay for a dinner at a 5 star restaurant in Beverly Hills may not be the same as what you'd pay for a dinner at a dive restaurant downtown. However, the quality of the cuisine remains to be seen. The same rule of thumb applies to a NYC restaurant verses a Santa Monica restaurant; or monthly parking fees in San Francisco verses those in L.A.

L.A. offers a glamorous lifestyle if you so chose but lifestyle can be lofty and expensive. The personality of the city boasts a population that is hip, sophisticated, elegant, bohemian and all around versatile.

Sometimes more is less such as in this case of your topic.

Anyone else feel the way I do? As soon as I arrive in southern CA and the air hits you it's like another world. It's awesome. Nothing like it anywhere. No wonder all the crazies funnel to the place.
