Most definitely if I'm about to see someone and they've posted something like that, I'm going to read it.
However, if it showed up in my inbox while we were planning a date, in a literal list form like that - I'm not sure how I'd feel. I mean, that's the pleasure of talking to someone for a little while before the first meeting. That stuff comes out anyway.
If I got a literal list in my email of likes and dislikes laid out so throughly, I'd be worried. I'd wonder if they have every detail is planned out, and if it's going to be a pressured session, with someone who is highly critical, not something that just naturally evolves. I'd wonder if he'll be judging and scoring my every move, which would make it pretty hard to be comfortable.

I agree with that. Especially when there are desires that aren't ordinary. However, that can still come up before the date, without being out right listed.
As several have already stated - when things are organic I now each session with the same individual is going to be an adventure. I still feel that no two dates, even with the same person, are ever really alike. I've seen some of the same people for years and years, and we're still discovering new turn ons - things that might not have been explored if they only stuck to the things they already knew they enjoyed.
In fact, I might be with one partner and not like act ABC, and then I'll be with someone else who does the same thing and it feels awesome. There just aren't any rules.

Yeah. . .just went to P411. Sorry, but I am not going to throw away $75.00 initial fee just to see if I like it.
Have these folks never heard of a trial membership?
You know this actually fits under the thread content here.
I have begun to develop a bit of a pet peeve with different ladies choosing different sites and insisting (or strongly recommending) we join a particular site.
I get that each lady has preferences for advertising and such. . .but goodness last year I joined Datecheck, and Escort.com, and at least four or five other sites and each wanted a monthly fee and they are a real pain in the ass to cancel and stop new charges to your card after you cancel.
Meanwhile, we have a perfectly good board here where you can get to know someone and do whatever social networking you need to do, or read a profile or thread to get to know a guy like the original post here explores. In other words, this board will work well for most forms of research needed, including PMing a fello provider to check on a guy you aren't sure about or if you need screening beyond that, ask for what you need and do the search.
Sometimes I wonder if there is commissions being handed out for new subscriptions given that so many ladies are using so many different services like P411 etc.
See, my sig line solves that. You read it, decide if we are even remotely compatible before putting any further effort out. If we are, click my name, read my reviews and PM those ladies for a reference, or ask me for references and use the standard screen protocols.
This is turning into rant. . .sorry.
Back on point:

That has popped up more than once. Just how freakish are my desires listed in that post?

If you use a pre-paid or gift card credit card it runs out of funds and they can’t keep charging it. Here, in Canada, they come in $25 and up amounts and can be purchased at various retailer (like pharmacies) or from banks. Buy them cash from a retailer and they are close to untraceable. And they work just like a regular credit card for most transactions.

Some sites give women a kick back for every member they bring in. P411 for example, gives me "points" which I can put toward paid advertising for every new member I bring in.
Now I won't insist. I'll mention a site because someone may not know about it, and may enjoy it. For the few dollars these referral systems offer me, it's not worth the bother, I'd rather just pay.
The point of these sites isn't to get to know you the way the boards do, so your post actually wouldn't help. They're built to make screening easier for ladies. Instead of having to email each of your references separately, who may not get back to me in time, I can look at your P411, and see whether or not other women ho have had a session with you walked away feeling that you were a quality gentlemen. I'm not sure but in some cases you can even see who those ladies who gave you a good vote are - and if they're women I think have comparable standards to mine, it goes a long way.
On that note, P411 is a good site to be a member of. I don't think you'd be disappointed - many women really do trust it's "white list" system. It does make screening easier.
I think if this board did somethign similar to White Listing on TER and "Okays" on P411, it would be nice.

Gift cards are fine for privacy and risk/ripoff management but I expect they become a pain in the ass to manage if the idea is to always keep the balance so low that you don't lose too much if the merchant will not cancel your subscription/refund your money.

I wish I could remember who, I think American Express, offers a gift card that lets you put on a pretty high amount.
I have used this system before. I can't say it's ever failed me, they're fine for paying bills, grocery shopping, doing all the daily things I'll do in life anyway.

Thank you for clearing that up, Lauren. I think I will stick to my resolution to simplify and just stick with this board. If they do some type of check or vouch system, great, if they don't I will see providers familiar with me, or those that can do a screen without a subscription service.
So back to ALT's original question. . .
My experiment may be very enlightening. It look like it has potential, but needs to be reworked:
1) Needs to be lest pedantic so ladies don't feel pressured to perform exactly as it is detailed?
2) Needs to be simplified. More than I like PBJ and these other alphabets in my soup etc. . .but perhaps less graphic and certainly less wordy?
3) I should probbably have a different thread (with or without an actual link in the sig line) that explains what grape seed oil is and what a GSO2 looks and feels like etc, only for those that want to know? BTW I have answered about ten such PM's today alone, so I am thinking about distilling my reponses into one description to save time.
4) Tweak the tone and perhaps play off the YMMV theme. . .hmmm. . .
"How to get the optimum mileage out, Anon?"

A trick that works is get a card that will cover what you know you want; say two months. Use that card. When they try to charge the third month it bounces, they will send you an e mail. If you want to continue get a new card and repeat.
Takes a little management, but in my opinion way better than arguing with customer non-service for months over charges you didn’t want them to make.

I'm missing something here. if it's a gift card - why do you care what she charges to it? It's not connected to your name.

terbul means using one of the credit card gift cards to charge membership on; put on it what 2 months of membership is. When the site tries to charge a third month it will fail and they will send an email about it; if you don't want to continue you don't send in a new CC number

Oh I do that all the time. It works just fine, the 50-100 gift cards are great for that.

Date-check gives points to those that recommend it. I know the providers get points, not sure if us Tuxes get points.

Wow. I've had points and didn't know what I could use them for
P411 used to offer gents a free membership if they already had at least 2 vouches from ladies already on P411
