Getting "everyone ready to go" also involves a "Come to Jesus" meeting with HIS MILITARY SUBORDINATES (also including the Secretary of Defense) to carefully outline and explain the COC aka "Chain of Command" and the position of the CIC aka Commander In Chief ... as it relates TO THE LAW and GOVERNMENT.

I disagree with the being shot part ... I do agree that there should be an option of obeying a lawful order or suffer military justice for failing to obey the lawful order from their commander. If they were intending to disobey the President's orders as CIC then they should not have allowed themselves to remain in "harms way"! The Secretary was attempting to insulate or inoculate himself from blowback by his inappropriate public rebuff of his boss and Commander, but it should not be the case and other high ranking officers should have addressed THAT issue rather than believing the polls and assuming Trump won't be their boss next year.
