I have no idea whether Walker or Barrett will win the recall vote in a few weeks. But if I were a betting man, I would NOT make my bet based upon newspaper endorsements. They used to be important but have minimal, if any impact, in the 24/7 information age.

For example, Governor Perry handily beat former Houston Mayor Bill White in the last Texas Gubernatorial race despite Mayor White having received 14 endorsements of the 15 largest newspapers in the State. Of the top 15 in the state, the only newspaper that endorsed Perry was the Waco Tribune-Herald!

So much for newspaper endorsements! LOL
