Wilson was also a racist (he was from Virginia) and segregationist. Wilson brought the first motion picture into the White House, The Birth of a Nation. A homage to the Ku Klux Klan and all the "good" they did.
Ma Bell was created by Wilson when they combined, by government edict, the 10,000 smaller phone and telegraph companies.
Wilson was a very flawed president but he is high on the list.

GWB & Wilson seems pretty similar when it comes to whipping up effort for the war. Bush & Wilson appear to part company when it comes to national security in degrees.

I think historians like him because he was a progressive. Hillary Clinton says she considers herself to be a Wilsonian progressive; that's reason enough not to like him.

I hate to say this but in a lot of ways Wilson was very similar in tactics to Obama; control of the media, the ability (by proxies) to prevent some movies to be made, massive propaganda efforts by a number of different people, and the personal destruction of people he considers enemies. Obama did use the word enemies when describing political opponents when he was talking to a hispanic (illegal friendly) crowd.

Edward Bernays was a sort of evil genius. He was Sigmund Freud's nephew and was influenced by his work. Glenn Beck has a lot of information about him in his book "The Overton Window".

I'm not aware of Obama suppressing/preventing movies from being made. can you cite examples of it?

wasn't Wilson starting to become ill around that time? its kinda hard to know who's responsible, him or his wife who manipulated things in the background while he was ill.

I was aware of the putsch against communist sympathizers, just not how it was institutionalized to that degree.
