I never said it was bad. My point in asking was: is it true the way you two present yourselves? If true, being in the same line of work does it help to strengthen the relationship bond since there's nothing to hide. Being in this line of work one would assume there is a lot of personal cloak and dagger. Even if a provider dated a client a client would not have the same appreciation of work as dating another provider. I guess one could date a gigolo.

Open relationship...it's really not as complicated as you seem to believe, male, female, provider, civilian...whatever. Relationships are only as limiting as one allows them to be. Two people with like minds and complimentary personalities do this all the time. What makes you think it would be any different?

I have a few "weird" relationships (or they would be called that by others.)
I don't feel the need to define them. It's either good (positive) or bad (toxic lol) Why strain my brain by attempting to define it? Especially when society doesn't have the "one size fits all" definitions I would need.
